🌱🌱Welcome to my blog🌱🌱

***Hello #Hivegarden*** Happy Saturday, today I want to share my story, answering the following question of week 32. Thank you for the notification, and I had a few minutes to write this weekly challenge. Between knitting and gardening I decided, for the latter, I must rest my little eyes and posture a bit. Through gardening, I do push-ups, when I clean or do hollows, keeping my body up to date. #### Question: Did one or both of your parents or grandparents garden, or still garden? What is their favorite thing to grow, or area of expertise? Did they influence your own gardening journey, and in what way? If you can, show us their garden, or tell us about their life as a gardener. These family members had some influence on my love of nature through my dedication to plant care. Among them are my paternal grandmother, my father, and my mother, all of whom are in heaven and now observe my spirit and love for plants. ![WhatsApp Image 2025-10-25 at 9.38.21 AM.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/multifacetas/23uFVvomdU1m6X34awH9TNqztQAGovbXJW8R3g9d6VmCTmxKVn3g2RBptjuNimGRLsk7J.jpeg) My grandmother had many plants in canning jars, of all sizes, in every corner of her small yard. She was a recycler of food containers. Something that was passed on to me from my genes, I have a passion for recycling, I even use pet food bags, they are very good hahaha. My father planted oranges, lemons, guava, guava, cherry and plum trees, among others, in his new house with a huge yard. He made furrows, put a hose to the first one and then the water circulated to the last one. He grafted the plants to obtain another variety. My mom in the front yard had red and green heart of Jesus (caladium) plants, cayenne o hibiscus, acacias, ferns, poppy, mother-in-law's tongue, lilies, velvet, acetaminophen, red dragon flower succulent and palms. Now my sister has tried to keep some plants. I don't have any photos at the moment, because I live far away. However, I have in my garden some of her plants because I brought several cuttings from her garden, I always try not to let them die, they are my memories, they reflect her love and joy. Half of my plants come from my mother's garden. Every time I see them, they bring back memories of her. I tell you that back in the 70's, my maternal grandmother used to look at the green Jesus heart leaf, and she would look at the white figures and see the number to play in the lottery and duplets, hahaha. ![WhatsApp Image 2025-10-25 at 9.42.01 AM.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/multifacetas/23wCBY23QGJ1nyEmBeTuSUeEqxAMik8RGZMGS4qouyZSRg9NHTQScodqHRE3SipneS6JG.jpeg) ***Friends, what did you think of my story about my relatives' gardens? Your opinions are welcome...***
