Today was a pretty tough day for me, since from early in the morning until late afternoon I was working with my two brothers-in-law to repair my truck. There are some things that don't necessarily have to break down in a car before you can replace or maintain them. On this occasion, I had to make some repairs to the bumper and the water pump, as it had a leak, and we also checked a few other things that are not relevant to what I want to express in this post.

On the other hand, my wife has been feeling a bit under the weather, with symptoms of the flu, which has made her feel a little unwell, as she is restless and generally uncomfortable. So, to help my wife cope with her fatigue and physical discomfort, we decided to go for a drive in the truck. But it turned out to be more than just a short trip. Once we were out of the house, we decided to go to the city of Cagua, which is several miles from where we live, to visit the central square.

To be honest, it was an impulse, since it's not a place we visit often, and being a Tuesday night, it would probably be quite deserted, but we wanted to see if there was any activity or, suddenly, we wanted to check if the square had any lighting that would be attractive to hang out, take some photos, and also eat something at a place that had been recommended to us. So, once we were in the square, which was quite deserted, we took some photos of the cathedral or main church of Cagua, which was in very good condition, and we also went to a place called La Lusitana. This is a kind of bakery, but it's also a restaurant that sells some pretty interesting sandwiches.

It's a very comfortable place, well lit, with excellent service and offering a wide variety of sandwiches, dinners, and desserts. So we went up to the second floor and took a seat. It was quite convenient that there were very few people, so we felt very comfortable. We ordered a sandwich called “Charcutero.” It contains ham, cheese, bacon, and pepperoni. In addition to that, it also had onion, tomato, and lettuce. It's a sandwich that, while it looks simple in the photos, actually had very good fillings and was of very good quality. We accompanied this sandwich with a Coca-Cola, which we know isn't the healthiest choice, but we must admit that it was the perfect occasion to enjoy a nice cold glass of the aforementioned beverage.

We loved the sandwich, had a great time, chatted, and then returned home enjoying the drive. I already mentioned that it is relatively far from where we live, and in that sense, we tried to enjoy the route by talking about general topics, listening to music, and looking forward to getting home to rest after a pretty hectic day. So we had a trip just the way we like it: with food, good music in the truck, and enjoying the ride.
