About seven days ago, week 41 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition came to an end. Due to time constraints, I was unable to participate, but at least I was able to closely follow many of the entries from the great artists who are part of this community. I want to take this opportunity to reflect on how the musical level in this blockchain has increased. There have always been very good artists, but in general, the music section has improved a lot, and I am sure that this is partly thanks to this competition, so I wish the Vibes Web3 Music Competition a long life.
@jessicaossom is a girl who is already well known in this community thanks to the good work she often does. It is remarkable that she has great control over her voice and has many vocal resources that she uses to her advantage to perform masterfully. Her mastery of the mixed voice and the beautiful vibrato that characterizes her are also remarkable. And well, as she says in her post, she even made a couple of changes to the lyrics to suit her tastes, and I must say that she was very smart and spot on in doing so.
This is the first time I've heard @lisflute, and I must say that I've been missing out on a great artist. The heartfelt and warm way she plays the transverse flute is simply comforting. I've rarely seen anyone play this instrument, but it's been enough to confirm that it's a unique instrument with a magical sound. On this occasion, Lisnaivis performs “Voilà” by Barbara Pravi, a song with a beautiful melody that would catch anyone's attention, undoubtedly a very special piece.
@ricardopercusion is an old acquaintance of this blockchain. He has always given us master classes on how to play the vibraphone, a very exotic instrument that I have only seen him play. And well, in his participation, he brings us his version of Billy Joel's “Uptown Girl,” a song that I love and that I think influenced me to choose him among my favorites, but beyond that, I must highlight Ricardo's talent and good execution of this interesting song. He definitely did an impeccable job.
This time, I selected two of my favorite instrumentalists because, honestly, I admire them. I know that singing requires talent and great skill, and it may even be more important than playing an instrument, but I know firsthand that those who dedicate themselves to an instrument make many sacrifices to perfect their technique and, therefore, produce a wonderful sound. The last two musicians in my review play instruments that can be considered exotic, since few people, at least on this blockchain, play them, which makes their performances even more special.
