Naturally, the most precious things in the world are those we live alongside every day: big mountains, trees, and water. Ive been lucky to always stay close to these natural elements.
When I was young, my parents moved to the plains near the vast Yoma Mountains. I heard there were tigers in the areasome even say that at night, you could hear their roars.
Later, my parents moved to central Myanmar. They chose to live in Pyin Oo Lwin rather than the city of Mandalay, so we stayed near mountains and forests. As a child, I didnt appreciate these forests. I wanted to live in modern Mandalay instead. Eventually, I did move to Mandalay and experienced life with new technologieswhich I really liked.
But I never felt truly free.
Now, at 30, I live just a two-minute walk from a place where I can see beautiful mountain scenery. This place moves me deeply and frees my mind. I feel grateful for these natural landscapes and forested mountains. These are the thoughts I carry with me on my walk tonight.
My niece came with me and enjoyed the scenery.
It rained in the afternoon, leaving water on the road. Nature painted its own reflection in the water.
The images above are some of the landscapes I captured during my walk this evening.
