When your kids are young and in sports, it is easy to get caught up in the sporting scene. With mine, it was first Tee ball with the boys and girls, they all played it. Then, baseball for the boys and the girls played softball. When that season was over, it was on to cheerleading and football. No one played rugby around us, or I am sure someone in the family would have played it. One child played Lacrosse, but none of them played soccer.

That was in the 1990s. I look back on those days and wonder how I did it. Fishing all day, run home, take kids to practice, go back home, cook dinner, pick kids up from practice, go home, eat dinner, and take kids to games that sometimes lasted until 11pm. I look back and wonder how I did it all. It was a lot, but somehow it did not seem like it was too much at that time.

All I can think is, there is a reason why God made women have children when they are young, there is no way I could keep up with all of that at this age.

We were supposed to finish working on my sister's camper today, but she had other plans. That was ok because yesterday, my husband had an appointment and was going to the cheap store beforehand. He took a cooler to put cold food in, but forgot to get ice from the house. He stops at a store to buy a bag and realizes he left his wallet at home. He had 13 dollars in cash, so he went to the cheap store with that.

He shopped around until he thought he was close to the 13 dollars. The lines were long and getting closer time for his appointment. Another register opened, and one person got in front of him. He heard the cashier ask for the woman's ID.

At this store, you have to show your ID to shop there. He said he backed his cart up and put everything back on the shelf, and walked out. He said the store had lots of food this time, and he was sure it would be all gone by morning. I told him it would still be there. He went this morning, and it was still there. He got 5 pounds of cheese for 10 dollars and a case of Lays potato chips, the big bags, for 99 cents. He also bought a case of sliced Romain lettuce for 59 cents, a bunch of honey mustard sauce for free, and free bread, rolls, and pita bread. He got some other things, but I can't remember what they are. He did get a bag of apples for Rudy, they were 59 cents. That was a good deal because he just bought 2 apples at Walmart and they were more than the entire bag. photos are mine
