This is my post for #freewriters 2833 prompt slot machine hosted by @mariannewest.
Back in 2008, I went to New Jersey to visit my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. They lived 5 miles from the Jersey Shore, so we went to the boardwalk, and they had an arcade that the kids wanted to go inside. It was my first time playing on a slot machine. I think it was the only time I won on one, too. But all I won were tokens to give to the grandkids, and they could pick a prize with them.
I do not care for gambling, but all my sisters love it, and when the two that live up north come down, they want to go out on the gambling boat at the Cape.
The only thing they play on the boat is the slot machine. I have watched more than once when one of them had racked up over a hundred dollars, and instead of cashing out and starting again with 20 dollars, they sit there and lose it all.
I do not find enjoyment in doing something like that. Come to think of it, I do not like losing 20 dollars from pulling a handle on a machine. The only good thing is that as long as you are gambling, your drinks are free. My sister forgot that on our last trip, and she bought drinks at the outside bar for 10 dollars each.
They do not like you to take pictures inside the gambling areas, but I do it until I am told not to. I do not remember if this was one of those times. The man seems to be walking toward me and my sister.
