This is my post for #freewriters 2875 prompt change the code hosted by @mariannewest
Today has been a long day. One of our freezers quit, and we had to put our food in the bait freezer with the stinky bait. This morning, we first stopped at the fish house and put ice in two coolers so we could go by the cheap store before going to Best Buy to purchase a new freezer.
There were not many good deals at the cheap store, but we did buy two huge jugs of cooking oil for ten bucks each. They weigh 35 pounds each. I hope it does not go bad before we can use it all. We also bought a five pound bag of shredded cheddar cheese for ten dollars.
After the cheap store, we were headed to Best Buy when my oldest called. She said she called our house, and her sister told her we were going to buy a freezer. She said she had one that she bought last year when her refrigerator quit and she had a bunch of meat in the freezer of it, so she ran to Home Depot and bought one, and since she had her refrigerator fixed, she has not used it, and we could have it.
She told us she was not home but would be there soon, so I told her we would go there and wait for her. She has a fancy lock on her front door, and I forgot she had to change the code when her son was dating a crazy girl. It was not that long before she came home.
When she got home, she told us she had one of her daughter's bearded dragon cages sitting on the freezer, and we would need to find something else for it to sit on. There was a huge empty fish tank on a dresser, it was full of her daughter's things and too heavy to lift, so we had to clean it out, and it was still heavy. We moved the fish tank into another room, then lifted the lizard cage from the freezer. Moved the freezer, then moved the dresser where the freezer was sitting, and put the lizard cage on the dresser. Now we had to put the freezer in the truck.
When we got home, we had to get the old freezer out of the house and the new one inside. Then we had to get the old freezer into the back of my husband's truck so he could take it to the scrapyard.
After getting everything back where it belongs, I rested for half an hour, then I had to clean Rudy's cage. He has started sneezing, and I wanted to get the hay out of it because the parts he had not eaten had a lot of dusty particles on the floor of his cage, and I hope that is what is making him sneeze. I did not want to throw the good hay away, so I took it outside and sifted the dust out of it and put the good hay in a dish, and left it sitting on the ground while I walked around cutting him different kinds of grass and weeds. I came back to get the hay, and it was gone, dish and all. I saw my husband and asked if he had done something with it. He said he thought I meant to throw it away, and he dumped it. I had to get more hay and sift the dusty stuff from it.
Now I can not stand up straight, and my hand is hurting. I hope I can do nothing but rest tomorrow. photo is mine
