Friday night, I called my sister to see if she wanted to go yard saling on Saturday. At first, she said she did not have the money to yard sale, but to please me she said yes. There was a sale at the south end of town, it was a house on the river, and their items were too pricey for us. The place I wanted to go was a community sale and it was north of her house. I told my sister that the sale was to be open until 3, so we could go to some near her home first. As we drove around, I snapped pictures of some of the houses decorated for Halloween.
When we arrived at the community sale, it was not what we thought. We thought it would be in a park and everyone would have their tables set up there. What we found was a huge housing development of 500 or more homes and you had to drive around and find the houses that were having a sale.
We were at one house that was having a sale, and did not see any other sales on that street. I asked someone if they knew of any more sales, and someone said there is one across the street. He said, it's the garage with the balloons. We told the lady that we could not tell that she was having a sale, all of her items were in the garage. She told us, didn't you see the balloons? I guess they are not allowed to put signs in their yard because, as we drove around, we saw others with everything inside the garage, and you could not tell they were having a sale until you stopped and asked.
My husband broke his rule of no fishing on weekends and fished yesterday. Maybe he should fish on the weekend more often, he caught fish and came home in a good mood. He had 38 pounds of pompano. photos are mine
