The above photo is of the water outlet for my baitwell. Every time my sister stepped to that side of the boat, a good stream of water came into the boat. There is a small hole where we attached it to the boat.
We had a can of gel coat, and I painted it around the fitting that was leaking. I am not sure what is in gel coat. I know it is a type of resin with coloring that you put on after fiberglassing. It dries hard like fiberglass resin, so it should stop the leak.
I had enough mixed up to paint my seat and gunnels. It felt dry, and I sat on the seat, it is not completely dry.
Yesterday, my sister said she would see me today. I expected her to be here this morning to help work on the boat, rods, and tackle, but had no more correspondence since then.
It turned out to be more work than I wanted to do alone. It was around 1 o'clock when she got here. I had worked on the rods, remounted the bilge pump and switch, the fish finder transducer quit, so I had to put a new one on the boat and rewire it, I made two cup holders from plumber's strap and mounted them in the boat, and made 6 rigs. When she got here, she helped me with cutting zip ties and tightening things. She also put a new rig on one rod. Then, it was time for her to leave so she could get her granddaughter from the bus stop.
