My sister and I planned to fish today, and she was here just after daylight. I had to tell her the wind was blowing, but my husband was going to call me to see if he thought we could fish in my boat. He called and said he already had four pompano. He said if it were just me in my boat, I could fish, but he did not think we should go with two in my small boat.

My daughter wanted to go to Vero, so my sister said she would take her. The wind died out around 10 o'clock, but she was gone. She will do anything for family and even those who are not family. She sometimes gets on my nerves, like I know I do the same to her, but she has a golden heart and tries to scatter love everywhere.

My son is staying closer to her house than mine, so today I asked her if she would take my son's bandages, and I will have him go by her house, and she will change them for him. I sent him a text telling him this. He stays less than a mile from her house, and he has to ride his bike five miles to get to my house.

I did that because I had not seen him for three days and thought it would be easier for him. Of course, after she left, he came here, he says he did not get the message, and went to yelling at me for sending them with her. He yanked the bandage from his face and rolled up a piece of toilet paper, and put it over the bite. He is to keep it sterile and put only a special silver patch on it. Then he tells me he is not going to his appointment tomorrow with the wound care doctor. He said he has been out of antibiotics for three days and tried to blame me. He goes right by Walgreens to get here, and the antibiotics are free. He is 46 years old and does not need mommy to pick them up. He is going to mess around and get an infection, then he will be in big trouble. I called my sister and she brought his bandages back to my house. So much for trying to be nice to him.

My husband came home from fishing and made me sick to my stomach. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for him, I am sick because I should have tried it, and if it was too rough, we could have come in. I am really kicking myself. He had 60 pounds of pompano. The fish house is paying the highest we have ever gotten for them, $7.25 a pound. My sister could have used the money we would have made. The wind is to be calm tomorrow. I hope the fish are still there. photo is mine
