Roasted foxnut or makhana is a most healthy and crunchy snack recipe which is made with lotus seeds . If you want to eat healthy or on dieting than it’s a best option to have whenver you feel little hungry. You can store these nuts in airtight container and enjoy while you want . Also best for travelling and kid’s school tiffin .
Foxnut is low in calorie , good source of protein and have so many nutritions like magnesium, potassium , phosphorus .
Every month I brought 2-3 packet foxnuts and roasted it at home. Because I consumed it daily so i make it so simple. As foxnuts have no flavour, we have to roasted it with some flavours. We can add flavours as our like and roast these nuts in butter , ghee or oil. Or we can roast it simply and than add seasonings.
This time i want to share the recipe which is so simple and i like the most , let’s enjoy.

INGREDIENTS ✅
- Fox nut 200 gram
- Ghee 3 tbsp
- Black papper 1/2 tbsp
- Rock salt 1 tbsp
PROCESS ✅
First heat a big kadai or pan , add ghee in it and heat the ghee . You can also use olive oil also . When the ghee is melting add salt and black papper , mix it immediately and add fox nut in it .
After adding fox nut , stir continuously at the low to medium flame . It took almost 10-15 minutes.
Slowly you saw that color start to change and fox nuts become crunchy. Roast nuts till they become crunchy and aromatic.
Turn off the flame , and stir nuts for 1 more minute or remove in another vessel.
After 5 minutes Fill in any air tight container and enjoy till 10 days .
This is so simple to make . But taste is really so awesome . I love this simple salty falvour makahna so much. In the morning or evening once while day I tried to have one bowl .
