Para mí uno de los mejores descubrimientos de una banda fue escuchar a The Killers, probablemente algunos los conozcan ya que tienen una trayectoria desde inicios de los 2000 y hoy en día se mantienen creando canciones y haciendo conciertos por el mundo 🌎.

We have all at some point felt connected to a song, a lyric, a melody that on days of stress and responsibilities make us feel like we can deal with any situation that comes our way. For me one of the best discoveries of a band was listening to The Killers, probably some of you know them since they have a trajectory since the early 2000's and today they keep creating songs and doing concerts around the world 🌎.
La banda The Killers fue creada por Brandon Flowers quien es el vocalista de la banda y la cara principal del grupo, es quien aporta la voz y tiene una capacidad increíble para hacer que te sientas emocionado. Tienen generos variados pero considero que el que más resalta es el rock alternativo, además de que no solo son una banda común que habla sobre relaciones o romances, ellos tienen canciones con letras profundas que te hacen reflexionar sobre todo acerca de la vida y de todos los desafíos que enfrentamos como seres humanos, tienen esa calidad humana para escribir con el corazón y demostrar en una canción el poder de la empatía y de creer en nosotros mismos.
The band The Killers was created by Brandon Flowers who is the lead singer of the band and the main face of the group, he is the one who provides the vocals and has an incredible ability to make you feel excited. They have varied genres but I consider that the one that stands out the most is alternative rock, besides they are not just a common band that talks about relationships or romances, they have songs with deep lyrics that make you reflect on everything about life and all the challenges we face as human beings, they have that human quality to write with the heart and demonstrate in a song the power of empathy and to believe in ourselves.
Realmente no recuerdo cómo fue que di con la banda, se que escuche un video por Youtube de una canción y me llamó la atención, sobre todo porque después de tantos años a pesar del paso del tiempo y de los cambios en la vida del vocalista, siempre encontró la manera de crear canciones para cualquier tipo de persona, desde jóvenes, adolescentes, adultos y hasta niños. Es de esas bandas que se ganan tu corazón y que me recuerdan un poco a la sensación que sentí cuando escuché por primera vez a Coldplay, aunque tienen estilos diferentes, ambos comparten el amor hacia la música y sobre todo hacia querer dejar un legado dónde las personas puedan encontrar en sus canciones un espacio seguro.
I don't really remember how I found the band, I know I heard a video on Youtube of a song and it caught my attention, especially because after so many years despite the passage of time and changes in the life of the vocalist, he always found a way to create songs for any type of person, from young people, teenagers, adults and even children. It is one of those bands that win your heart and remind me a little bit of the sensation I felt when I first heard Coldplay, although they have different styles, both share the love for music and above all for wanting to leave a legacy where people can find in their songs a safe space.

Tienen canciones como Somebody Told Me que es un gran hit dentro de la industria musical, creo que muchos conocieron a la banda por esta canción donde se refleja el rock junto con una letra un tanto divertida, hablando acerca de una persona que se entera de que su expareja tiene una nueva relación. Se siente un poco cómo una forma de hacerle saber que estás al tanto de esto y al final es una canción que se convirtió en uno de sus mayores éxitos como banda, hay muchas personas que han hecho covers de esta canción entre ellos la banda Maneskin que con Damiano como vocalista logró una interpretación casi tan buena como la de Brandon.
They have songs like Somebody Told Me which is a big hit in the music industry, I think many people knew the band for this song where the rock is reflected along with a somewhat funny lyrics, talking about a person who finds out that his ex-partner has a new relationship. It feels a bit like a way of letting him know that you are aware of this and in the end it is a song that became one of their biggest hits as a band, there are many people who have covered this song among them the band Maneskin who with Damiano as vocalist managed a performance almost as good as the one by Brandon.
Cómo me gusta mucho que las canciones me dejen una reflexión, hay muchas entre su repertorio que tienen ese toque de humanidad, de crisis existencial y de las preguntas que como seres humanos nos hacemos durante nuestra vida. Esto es lo que más me gusta de la banda, dan mensajes de aliento y de forma que te sientes como si escucharas a un buen amigo dándote un consejo. Tener una canción que pueda causarte ese momento de reflexión y de encontrar respuestas en las letras es lo que me ha hecho seguir escuchandolos, aun me falta mucho por conocer ya que tienen un gran recorrido de más de veinte años.
There are many songs in their repertoire that have that touch of humanity, existential crisis and the questions that we as human beings ask ourselves during our lives. This is what I like most about the band, they give messages of encouragement and in a way that makes you feel as if you were listening to a good friend giving you advice. Having a song that can cause you that moment of reflection and finding answers in the lyrics is what has made me keep listening to them, I still have a long way to go because they have a great journey of more than twenty years.

Cuando me siento decaída y triste hay una canción que me recuerda que nada dura para siempre, es esa que me da el empuje para seguir adelante y sentir que realmente todo lo que hago al final tendrá un propósito. La canción que les menciono es Be Still, creo que no había sentido que una canción me impresionara tanto y que me diera una sensación de llanto más allá que las canciones que escribe la increíble Adele, pero en esta canción se encuentra el mensaje para todo aquel que se sienta perdido... "Continúa caminando que la vida tiene más cosas por mostrarte y no te des por vencido", eso es lo que refleja esta canción que es mi favorita de la banda.
When I feel down and sad there is a song that reminds me that nothing lasts forever, it's the one that gives me the push to keep going and feel that really everything I do in the end will have a purpose. The song I mention to you is Be Still, I don't think I have ever felt a song impress me so much and give me a crying feeling beyond the songs that the amazing Adele writes, but in this song is the message for anyone who feels lost.... "Keep walking that life has more things to show you and don't give up ", that's what this song reflects which is my favorite of the band.

Una joya que acabo de escuchar hace poco fue All These Things That I've Done, está es otra canción donde se refleja el lado vulnerable del ser humano y básicamente dice en un fragmento: "Tengo un alma, pero no soy un soldado." Realmente se siente la intensidad con la que la banda nos muestra que la vida muchas veces nos hace sentir abatidos, decepcionados y con ganas de no continuar con nuestros sueños pero allí se encuentra el poder de la música y de conectar con canciones que dejan mensajes claros pero necesarios para cualquier momento de nuestra vida.
A gem I just listened to recently was All These Things That I've Done, this is another song where the vulnerable side of the human being is reflected and basically says in a fragment: "I have a soul, but I'm not a soldier. Está banda cuenta con otros éxitos cómo Mr. Brightside, Read My Mind, Miss Atomic Bomb los cuales también son muy conocidas y tienen ritmos y letras que te hacen querer sentarte a pensar o simplemente cantar a todo pulmón en un karaoke jaja. Una banda que se ha mantenido en el tiempo, que a pesar de no tener el reconocimiento suficiente hoy en día por tan buenos álbumes que han sacado aún poseen la creatividad y la pasión para seguir escribiendo e inspirando a más jóvenes y personas a conectar con su música dónde más allá de intentar vender un hit, buscan dejar canciones que lleguen a las personas y que sean parte de sus vidas cómo un soporte o un regalo de la vida.

A band that has remained in time, that despite not having enough recognition today for such good albums they have released still have the creativity and passion to continue writing and inspiring more young people and people to connect with their music where beyond trying to sell a hit, they seek to leave songs that reach people and that are part of their lives as a support or a gift of life.
