What am I doing wrong? Help a newbie out

I've been posted interesting stuff about my work, beliefs, tips and culture. Yet I don't have follows. I feel like no matter how awesome my post is, if I don't have followers than it's of no use. Can anyone tell me how to get followers here? Organically obviously. I put hardwork in my blog. I've around 14k following on wordpress. I was hoping to shift to steemit but I think I need more guidance..
