A lot has happened, but I’ll save that for another time. For now, I just want to share about my recent solo trip to Liwliwa, Zambales and how much I loved it. I’ve always seen posts and heard stories about Liwliwa, and I finally got the chance to go. It’s such a chill place. The vibe is different in a good way. It’s peaceful, laid-back, and it made me feel relaxed right away. I honestly think I could live there for a while. It’s one of those places that just feels right. ![Messenger_creation_81DBDCDD-3350-4F53-B866-AE22B1EA13EA.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nachtsecre/243fe1yeFho5xSEWqHNcXK4WcSy1QB3774Fid8EyzXRdDMeDewuX7kdKMYyZdBiDy1UhQ.jpeg) I stayed at Point Break Hostel, which I think is perfect for solo travelers like me. It’s affordable, clean, and has a good vibe. I originally wanted to stay at Aluntala since it looked really nice, but it was fully booked when I asked. Maybe next time! Still, Point Break did not disappoint. I had a comfy stay and even met a few friendly people. One of the best parts of the trip was visiting Sestra Cafe. I’m a big coffee lover, and their coffee did not disappoint. It’s strong, smooth, and just really good. The place itself is super cozy too. It’s the kind of spot where you could sit for hours, just sipping coffee while listening to the waves or enjoying the quiet. I went there more than once during my stay. ![Messenger_creation_23833D61-F86C-44DB-9E3C-B2984210F96C.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nachtsecre/23wqe3dyUf2vfq5vEwudjkvxEpSv1jpukPY9nRgHiprVJ3Esu5t2K9V1uFXojWSXvJpKB.jpeg) For food, Kapitan Liwa really stood out. Their kare-kare was so good, it was creamy and flavorful, just the way it should be. I also tried their sinigang, which was perfect with that sour broth that warms you up. And of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the sisig, which was crispy and tasty. Every meal there felt like comfort food at its best. ![Messenger_creation_1D3F394B-2D98-451A-8E7E-B42E8662E481.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nachtsecre/23wgSRuAgV8TgTMMuCbapqXK3NUrUsMMKLaRs7RGWHX3stN8GG3iyRijjg4RgGVFundNA.jpeg) Another place I liked was Taco Joint. Their tacos were one of my favorites on the trip, flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. I went back a couple of times because it was just that good. ![Messenger_creation_98E4DF47-4F89-4BF0-A0E5-D62B9B5FF505.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nachtsecre/23x1HpxqkNg8duaFkUPoU6CiLFmjUkCvTJB71cudBN7VSZhSvajyaktD6aoiASzopZq5X.jpeg) This solo trip was something I didn’t know I needed until I was there. It gave me the space to reset, breathe, and enjoy my own company. Sometimes we get so caught up in everything that we forget how important it is to just pause and slow down. I miss Liwliwa already, the beach, the breeze, the quiet mornings with coffee, and the golden hour walks. I miss how everything felt light, like there was no pressure to do anything except be present. I even miss the dusty roads, the sound of skateboards at night, and the random conversations with strangers who felt like old friends. If you’re thinking about visiting Liwliwa, do it. Whether you’re going with friends or going solo like I did, the place welcomes you. It doesn’t matter if you surf, take photos, or just want to nap by the beach, there’s something there for everyone. Looking back, this trip wasn’t just a quick getaway, it was a reminder that healing doesn’t always need a grand plan; sometimes it just needs a quiet place, a good cup of coffee, salty air, warm food, and space to breathe. Liwliwa gave me all of that and more. It gave me stillness when life felt loud, and a sense of home in a place I had never been before. I didn’t just leave with memories I left with peace, new energy, and a quiet promise to return. I’ll definitely be back. Not just to visit, but maybe to stay a little longer next time. Who knows? Some places just stay with you. Liwa is now one of mine. Disclaimer: All photos featured in this post were taken by me during my trip. [//]:# (!worldmappin 15.05019 lat 120.06002 long d3scr)
