Hi to all, my name its Nahu Padilla, @nahupuku and this time Im going to show you my new post, its another visit to an art expos in a museum: The Museum of Afro-American Art of Caracas (MAA) located in Venezuela - Southamerica. I`ll show a photograpy tour with some art pieces that I like to much, mostly axes, antique musical instruments, ritualistics scultpures, knifes and masks. I hope that you enjoy this visual tour.

I really enjoyed this exhibition and the mastery with which old antique magic kind of flow these pieces are created.The two exhibitions I visited were curated by my university professor and former boss when I was a professor at UCV (currently Director of the School of Arts at the Central University of Venezuela). The Museo de Arte Afroamericano de Caracas (MAA) is a private cultural precinct founded in 2004 in Caracas dedicated to the dissemination of art and manifestations of Afro-descendant culture in Venezuela. The Museo de Arte Afroamericano de Caracas was founded in 2004 by Nelsón Sánchez Chapellín. On May 22, 2011 it was inaugurated in its current location in the San Bernardino Parish. The MAA emerged from the project of the aforementioned foundation, from the interest in the theme of African descent and the various trips undertaken by its creators Nelson Sánchez and Morris Matza to the African continent. This museum is the only space specifically dedicated to African culture in Venezuela. It has one of the largest collections of African art in Latin America, valued at more than ten thousand dollars.

El Museo de Arte Afroamericano de Caracas (MAA) es un recinto cultural privado fundado en 2004 en Caracas dedicado a la difusión del arte y manifestaciones de la cultura afrodescendiente en Venezuela. El Museo de Arte Afroamericano de Caracas fue fundado en 2004 por Nelsón Sánchez Chapellín. El 22 de mayo de 2011 fue inaugurado en su sede actual ubicada en la Parroquia San Bernardino. El MAA surgió del proyecto de la fundación antes mencionada, a partir del interés del tema de la afrodescendencia y los diversos viajes que han emprendido sus creadores Nelson Sánchez y Morris Matza al continente africano. Este museo es el único espacio dedicado específicamente a la cultura africana en Venezuela. Cuenta con una de las colecciones de arte africano más grande de América Latina, valuada en más de diez mil dólares.
