Monomad: Skateboard jump [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Personally, when I take pictures of people skating, what strikes me most is the moment when they jump with their skateboard. Obviously, this has a name, but I hope you'll forgive me because I don't know what it is. However, I think the action and the calmness with which they perform it is wonderful, which is why I'm sharing some photos with you today.

Personalmente, cuando hago fotografías a personas patinando lo que se me hace más llamativo es el momento en que estos saltan con la patineta, evidentemente esto tendrá su nombre, pero espero me sepan disculpar porque no lo conozco, pero esa acción y tranquilidad con la que lo realizan se me hace estupendo, por eso les comparto algunas fotografías el día de hoy.

I've always liked skateboarding. I once tried to get on a skateboard, but within seconds I was on the ground. That's why I have so much admiration when I see skaters doing things like what you see in the photos. This type of acrobatics and capturing them in the air is a fascinating challenge for me.

Siempre me ha gustado el skate, alguna vez intenté subirme a una patineta, pero a los pocos segundos ya estaba en el suelo, por eso tengo mucha admiración cuando veo a patinadores que hacen cosas como las que se aprecian en las fotos, este tipo de acrobacias y capturarlas en el aire se me hace un reto fascinante.

I took these photographs in the afternoon, when the sun was quite strong, as you can see from the sharp shadows cast by the skaters. I thought this would create an interesting contrast in black and white, and I think I was right. I love the final result, and I hope you do too.

Estas fotografías las realicé en la tarde, cuando el sol estaba en un punto bastante fuerte y se puede notar por las sombras marcadas de los patinadores, por eso me parecía que haría un contraste muy interesante en blanco y negro y creo que tenía razón, me ha encantado el resultado final y espero que a ustedes también.
