Travel to Patanemo Bay, a beach in Venezuela [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, dear friends of the community and travel lovers, I hope you are all having a great day. Personally, I have only been to the beach a few times. When I was little, I went with my parents for obvious reasons, but as I grew older, it wasn't something that motivated me too much because of the amount of sun. I'm not a fan of it, However, my girlfriend invited me on a trip she was taking with friends to the beach, and I accepted. It seemed like an excellent opportunity to take photos, so I'm sharing my experience of visiting Patanemo Bay for the first time.

Personalmente, son contadas las veces que he ido a la playa, cuando iba de pequeño lo hacía en compañía de mis padres por obvias razones, luego al ir creciendo no era algo que me motivaba demasiado por la gran cantidad de sol, no soy amante de ello, pero mi novia me invitó a un viaje que haría con amigos a la playa y yo acepté, me parecía una excelente oportunidad de hacer fotos, así que, les comparto mi experiencia conociendo por primera vez la Bahía de Patanemo.

Patanemo Bay is a beach located in the state of Carabobo in Venezuela. I live in Yaracuy, which is an hour and forty minutes away by car, so in order to make the most of our time there, we left very early in the morning. I could hardly sleep and at 4 a.m. I was already getting ready so I wouldn't forget anything.

When we arrived at the meeting point where the trip was starting, we waited a couple of minutes and when everyone had gathered, the journey began. It was an entertaining trip, as everyone on the trip was a friend of my girlfriend's, everyone was obviously in a fun mood, which made the journey quite enjoyable with laughter and some singing of songs that we all knew.

La bahía de Patanemo es una playa que se ubica en el estado Carabobo en Venezuela. Yo vivo en Yaracuy, por lo que estamos a una hora y cuarenta minutos de distancia en carro, por lo que para aprovechar y estar la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible, la salida fue desde muy temprano, yo casi no pude dormir y a las 4 de la mañana ya me estaba preparando para no olvidar nada.

Al llegar al punto de encuentro de donde salía el viaje, esperamos un par de minutos y cuando ya todos estaban reunidos, empezó la travesía. Fue un trayecto entretenido, como todos los que iban en el viaje eran amigos de mi novia, todos estaban evidentemente en un ambiente divertido, lo cual hizo que el trayecto fuese bastante ameno entre risas y algunos cantos de canciones que todos conocíamos.

When we arrived, the sun was definitely shining, but it wasn't as intense as I thought it would be, at least while we were getting there. Then the story was completely different, but that's another story. We rented some umbrellas to leave our things under and within a few minutes we were enjoying the water. I am a photographer, something I have mentioned in other posts I have made in the community, so after a couple of minutes, I took out my camera and started taking pictures, which are obviously the ones you are seeing right now.

I also took some photos of my girlfriend and some of her friends who also wanted to have photos taken on the beach. My girlfriend and I decided to walk and explore the bay from one end to the other, first looking for places to take photos and then appreciating the beauty of these same places. There were lots of people, all clearly enjoying a nice Sunday with their families, friends, or loved ones. Children playing, dogs running in the water, and adults enjoying themselves—it was definitely an interesting beach for me to discover because, as I said at the beginning, it was my first time there.

Cuando llegamos, el sol hizo acto de presencia sin duda, pero no fue tan excesivo como pensé, al menos mientras estábamos llegando. Luego la historia fue completamente diferente, pero eso es otra historia. Alquilamos unos toldos para dejar nuestras cosas y en pocos minutos ya estábamos disfrutando del agua. Yo soy fotógrafo, es algo que he mencionado en otras publicaciones que he hecho en la comunidad, por ello, luego de un par de minutos, saqué mi cámara y empecé a hacer fotografías que son las que evidentemente están viendo en este momento.

También hice algunas sesiones de fotos tanto a mi novia, como a algunas de sus amigas que también se animaron para tener fotos en la playa. Junto a mi novia decidimos caminar y recorrer un poco la bahía de principio a fin, primero buscando lugares en donde hacer fotos y luego apreciando la belleza de estos mismos lugares. Había muchas personas, todos evidentemente disfrutando de un buen domingo para estar en familia, con amigos o cualquier ser querido. Niños jugando, perros corriendo en el agua y adultos disfrutando, sin duda fue una playa interesante de descubrir para mí, porque como bien dije al principio, es la primera vez que iba.

An interesting fact is that my girlfriend had mentioned to me (she had gone last year) that the waves in Patanemo were very strong, and I thought she was exaggerating, But what she said was true. Many times while we were in the water, the waves broke very strongly and ended up dragging us around, causing us to spin around underwater several times. Some were funny, but others were not at all. But life is undoubtedly about having different experiences, ha ha ha.

We were there for about 9 or 10 hours and then obviously we had to go back. On the way back, we were all pretty sunburned. Even if you used sunscreen, the sun was so strong that it definitely affected you. The trip back was much quieter because we were all tired, so silence reigned for most of the way, and most of us ended up falling asleep. There were some complications on the way back, but nothing that couldn't be solved, and so we ended an excellent day getting to know a new beach (at least for me, as I had never been there before) and taking some nice photos of everything there, from the water, the plants, the mountains, and the boats.

Un dato interesante es que mi novia me había mencionado (ella había ido el año pasado) que las olas en Patanemo eran muy fuertes y yo pensé que exageraba, pero lo que decía era verdad, en muchas de las ocasiones mientras estábamos en el agua, las olas rompían de una manera muy fuerte y en muchas de ellas nos terminaron arrastrando, haciendo que diéramos varias vueltas bajo el agua, algunas eran graciosas, pero otras no lo eran para nada, pero la vida está para vivir distintas experiencias sin duda, jajaja.

Estuvimos allí por unas 9 o 10 horas y luego evidentemente teníamos que regresar. De regreso, todos estábamos bastante quemados, incluso si utilizaste bloqueador solar, el sol estaba tan fuerte que sin duda te terminaba afectando. De regreso, el trayecto fue mucho más tranquilo porque evidentemente todos estábamos cansados, por lo que el silencio reinó en la gran mayoría del trayecto, en el cual la gran mayoría terminó dormida. Hubo ciertas complicaciones de regreso, pero nada que no se pudiera solucionar y así terminamos un excelente día conociendo una nueva playa (al menos por mi parte que nunca había ido) y haciendo algunas fotos lindas a todo lo que había allí, desde el agua, las plantas, las montañas y botes.
