Los dinosaurios en el cine son sinónimo de éxito en la taquilla; desde el 2015, el reinicio o relanzamiento de la franquicia de "Jurassic Park" ha recaudado una excesiva cantidad de dinero, lo cual es inevitable que no se hagan más películas de manera consecutiva y justamente en este séptimo film (4.º en la franquicia de Jurassic World), "Jurassic World Rebirth", se hace notorio el positivo impacto en el público lo cual la ha convertido en la película que más ha recaudado mundialmente en los últimos meses; ahora esa buena cantidad de dinero que ha generado lamentablemente no es sinónimo de calidad en guion, actuación, ni mucho menos en dirección.
Dinosaurs in cinema are synonymous with box office success; since 2015, the reboot or relaunch of the Jurassic Park franchise has grossed an excessive amount of money, making it inevitable that more films will be made consecutively. In this seventh film (the fourth in the Jurassic World franchise), Jurassic World Rebirth, the positive impact on audiences is evident, making it the highest-grossing film worldwide in recent months. Unfortunately, the large amount of money it has generated is not synonymous with quality in terms of script, acting, or direction.
Está nueva película de "Jurassic World", trata de cumplir fielmente con el título de renacer; el uso de un prólogo es necesario para situar al espectador en que parte de la historia está y del cual sea el tema principal para esta nueva fase de la franquicia; esa práctica por parte de David Koepp, guionista no solo de este film, sino de "Jurassic Park", es lo que me ha parecido correcto porque de una manera rápida nos enseña aparte de los personajes principales así como son sus motivos en esta historia, algo que al final es parte del cliché de ese estilo de films, pero que son necesarios; hasta ahí todo bien, eso sí, nada original, pero en mi opinión fue todo correcto, ahora después de esa introducción de ese grupo de protagonistas es donde la historia se convierte en una serie de repeticiones, una producción con una profundidad nula en sus muchos personajes, con pasados y motivos nada convincentes lo cual los hacen aburridos y molestos.
La decisión de contar con Gareth Edwards en la dirección debió significar un plus para esta película; el tener al director de "Monsters" (2010) y "Godzilla" (2014), seguramente generó expectativas en los fans de la franquicia, pero lamentablemente ofreció lo que pienso es su peor trabajo hasta la fecha; está película no ofrece ninguna escena épica, no hay ninguna toma que te haga pensar que estás viendo la hermosura de una naturaleza muy salvaje y peligrosa, las escenas de acción no ofrecen nada relevante, no hay tensión, ni suspenso, son versiones pobres de lo que se ha visto anteriormente en la franquicia; a eso, anexo lo falso de las muchas escenografías y de los dinosaurios, es lamentable que esas criaturas se vean tan mal diseñadas, así con la poca originalidad de la criatura final, todo eso resta relevancia a la producción, siendo sin ninguna duda el mal uso del CGI, lo cual me sorprende, ya que está película tuvo un costo de 225 millones de dólares.
This new Jurassic World movie tries to live up to its title of rebirth; the use of a prologue is necessary to situate the viewer in the story and establish the main theme for this new phase of the franchise; This practice by David Koepp, screenwriter not only of this film but also of Jurassic Park, seems appropriate to me because it quickly introduces us to the main characters and their motives in this story, something that is ultimately part of the cliché of this type of film but is necessary. So far, so good, although nothing original, but in my opinion, it was all correct. Now, after that introduction of the group of protagonists, the story becomes a series of repetitions, a production with no depth in its many characters, with unconvincing pasts and motives, which makes them boring and annoying.
The decision to have Gareth Edwards direct should have been a plus for this film; having the director of Monsters (2010) and Godzilla (2014) surely generated expectations among fans of the franchise, but unfortunately, he delivered what I think is his worst work to date. This film offers no epic scenes, no shots that make you feel like you're witnessing the beauty of a wild and dangerous natural world. The action scenes offer nothing of note, there is no tension or suspense, they are poor versions of what we've seen before in the franchise. To that, I add the fakery of the many sets and dinosaurs. It's unfortunate that these creatures look so poorly designed, and with the lack of originality of the final creature, all of that detracts from the production, undoubtedly due to the misuse of CGI, which surprises me, since this film cost $225 million to make.
Con respecto a los personajes de esta historia, nuevamente repito del buen uso del prólogo porque provee una necesaria introducción y orientación de todo lo transcurrido entre "Dominion" y "Rebirth", pero también demuestra los necesarios motivos que impulsan los actos de "Zora Bennett", "Dr. Henry Loomis" y "Rupert Friend"; personaje que poseen como característica el ser predecibles, algo que en un principio no era ningún problema, pero su nulo desarrollo y lo nada relevantes hace que sean los peores protagonistas de la franquicia, no son creíbles en ningunos de sus actos y sus motivos, llenos completamente de clichés, al final son intrascendentes, no poseen liderazgo, no son divertidos, son en parte lo peor del film.
Regarding the characters in this story, I reiterate the value of the prologue because it provides a necessary introduction and orientation to everything that happened between "Dominion" and "Rebirth," but it also demonstrates the necessary motives that drive the actions of "Zora Bennett," "Dr. Henry Loomis," and "Rupert Friend"; These characters are predictable, which was not a problem at first, but their lack of development and irrelevance makes them the worst protagonists in the franchise. None of their actions or motives are credible; they are completely clichéd and ultimately inconsequential. They lack leadership, are not entertaining, and are, in part, the worst aspect of the film.
Jurassic World Rebirth no es un buen film, es la que menos emoción ofrece en toda la franquicia, es una producción nula de significado, ya que no tiene ningún sentido su historia, es algo que ya se ha visto y ese es uno de sus grandes problemas; creo que al usar el término "Renacer", esperaba que se ofreciera algo nuevo, relevante, pero este no es el caso, ya que se rehúsa tomas y escenas de otras películas que verdaderamente no es divertido acertar tantas referencias y es que usar la nostalgia en esta franquicia debería estar prohibido por lo todavía nuevo que es esta segunda fase dentro de la franquicia; ahora todo lo antes descrito importa muy poco porque cualquier crítica negativa hecha, sucumbe contra la recaudación que obtuvo este film y aunque no llegue a los 1000 millones de dólares, solamente el hecho de obtener más dinero que películas basadas en personajes de comics, es otro logro más para los dinosaurios y estoy seguro de que dentro de poco se confirmará una nueva secuela más de la cual tendré la esperanza de poder ver algo digno del primer film estrenado hace 32 años.
Jurassic World Rebirth is not a good film. It is the least exciting of the entire franchise, a production devoid of meaning, as its story makes no sense. It is something we have already seen, and that is one of its biggest problems. I think that by using the term "Rebirth," I expected something new and relevant to be offered, but this is not the case, as it rehashes shots and scenes from other films. It's really not fun to spot so many references, and using nostalgia in this franchise should be prohibited because this second phase within the franchise is still so new. Now, everything described above matters very little because any negative criticism made is overshadowed by the box office success of this film. Even if it doesn't reach $1 billion, the mere fact that it has made more money than films based on comic book characters is another achievement for the dinosaurs, and I am sure that a new sequel will soon be confirmed, which I hope will be worthy of the first film released 32 years ago.
