Existe un factor que pareció sumamente genial del juego de Venezuela y es que este equipo estaba convencido en mantener a su rival en su zona, en momentos adelantaron líneas defensivas lo cual hizo que jugadores venezolanos estuvieran muy cerca del área rival y se le dificultará la salida del balón para los ingleses; justamente en esa presión y adelantamiento de la línea defensa, fue que se originó el segundo gol anotado por Fuentes, un gol que aumentó la moral, pero creo que también aumentó la concentración del equipo, en especial de **Alan Vasquez**, quien para mí fue el MVP del encuentro al atajar hasta 6 chutes de peligro en dónde 4 fueron en el área chica; una gran actuación del portero vinotinto que también ofreció seguridad y confianza a sus compañeros para finiquitar la faena y así obtener una gran victoria.

Mi opinión sobre el primer encuentro de Venezuela en el Mundial SUB-17, es sin ninguna duda una expresión de euforia y felicidad, creo que todo venezolano puede sentirse orgulloso del juego que ofreció estos jóvenes jugadores y del plan realizado por el cuerpo técnico liderado por Vizcarrondo; ahora, esto no quiere decir que son campeones, de que está camada de jugadores son quienes nos llevarán a nuestro primer mundial y aunque es imposible no pensarlo, creo que hay que recalcar que estos son todavía un grupo de adolescentes que están por primera vez experimentando un torneo de alto nivel como lo es un Mundial de Fútbol; hay que esperar a como prosigue su actuación así como la del cuerpo técnico quienes idearon y prepararon mental y físicamente a sus jugadores; en ellos está el controlar y posiblemente fortalecer lo que pueden ellos manejar y dejar el talento y la condición de sus jugadores para resolver situaciones ofensivas y especialmente defensivas para ganar el encuentro; por los momentos eso es lo que más me sorprendió y que espero que siga sucediendo porque como siempre he dicho, en este tipo de torneos es muy importante que los jugadores puedan primeramente obtener experiencia y segundo mostrarse al mundo para que puedan captar la atención de algún que otro buen club y así proseguir su crecimiento en el deporte. El próximo viernes se disputa la segunda jornada contra Egipto, importante encuentro, ya que los egipcios ganaron 4 a 0 a Haití y una victoria de cualquier de los dos, los situará en la siguiente fase; esperemos que Venezuela recupere físicamente a sus jugadores y ofrezcan una actuación igual o hasta mejor que demostraron en la primera jornada.
