I'm still wondering who said weekends are for resting because I have never rested during weekends, there must always be something to do...... hehehehe.... Imagine how your day can be so exhausting, tiring, and long, yet still, exciting, fun, and joyful.... can you just imagine that combination?😄 Because that's how I'm feeling right now. Let me tell you in detail how today went for me....🤭
So today, my school, Veritas Schools, hosted the end of a successful session party. From the arrangement to the activities and the coordination, you could tell it spoke of excellence. I mean, we spent weeks planning for this and we were happy it turned out well. We did several class presentations. (I'm still expecting the pictures though) The children sang, played a drama, did a debate, comedy show, choreography, etc. What made us happy was that the rain didn't fall today. (If you are in Nigeria, you would understand what I'm saying right now) Despite the rainfall since the beginning of the week, today we didn't record any rainfall until tonight, and we are grateful for that.
But guess what? There is more.... just keep strolling. Smiles🙂🙃 I was privileged to receive the award for the Best Teacher (secondary section), which was a huge surprise to me. I honestly didn't see this coming. I couldn't even go out because of how shy I was; you could imagine the crowd, but I still went anyway. I felt very humbled to have earned this award, and I hope to always give my best wherever I find myself.

How can I forget my amazing students and graduates who celebrated me with some gifts? These ones spoiled me that day😅 They are just so good and fun to be with and they made me shed tears. I couldn't believe the little ones that I taught for 3 years are now graduating to a more advanced level.
(A cross-section of my children with their fellow teachers) I was so happy when one of my students who wrote her final secondary school or high school exams, as some would call it, walked up to me and told me she cleared her papers and is currently about to start the university. The good news was that she scored an A in my subject and she had admission in that same subject "Accounting". I was just so happy for her. She even introduced me to her mom, who thanked me and appreciated me with a cash gift...my mind was blown.

I took a few photos with my colleagues because why not? These people make my working experience very easy and fun. So happy to be identified with them as a family.
(A few of my colleagues and I) I won't forget that yesterday, being my birthday, I was celebrated at home and in school. I received loads of messages, well wishes, calls, and of course a few credit alerts from loved ones and well-wishers.

So that's how my day went today. It's been a long day, and believe me, I'm so exhausted, but then I had to chime in and share the news with my community.
