Being grown up is not the experience we believed it would be, and although the world has many scientific advancements and the science fiction we read in books or saw in movies is part of our daily lives, people are still dying from cancer and many nations are at war.

Dear Me, you graduated from the university program you wanted and even though you got a good job, a government came that destroyed everything. Don’t get discouraged or doubt your achievements, it’s the only thing that will help you stay afloat. No matter how chaotic or ruined your environment is, stay calm. Don’t feel like you have to leave: you will do a better job nearby than far away from your loved ones.

Dear me, you will lose many loved ones along the way, so when you love, say it, show it, don't hide your feelings for later: we never know when it will be the last time we see someone. If you love, don't feel bad about it: loving will never be a mistake or a waste. Don't save kisses or caresses; demonstrations of affection have an expiration date. By the way, spend more time with your grandmother, your father, and your nephew David; you will lose them very soon, and you will regret not having spent more time with them. Also, when you turn 15, don't bring big music horns to the party, because if you do, your grandmother will leave, and she will never return to the house. And when your nephew David says his bones hurt, don't think it's just growing pains from exercising too much; something bad is happening in his body, and early attention may save him.

Dear Me, in the year 2016 a platform will be created where you can write and make money. Believe the people who talk to you about it, and when you manage to enter that platform, because you will enter in 2018, remember to safeguard your passwords very well. If you don't, your account will be hacked in 2022 and you will lose everything. And although you will manage to recover, the work you will have to do will be hard.

Dear Me, smile always now that you can: life will give you many reasons to be sad in the future. Don't frown so much, sleep more, eat more vegetables and fruits; please avoid excesses. Life is a restaurant that charges you, with taxes included. Oh, speaking of taxes, buy many dollars (in Venezuela there will be a disastrous government that will lead the economy to the abyss and the bolívar will turn into salt and water).
