Tres canciones de Kany García

Hola, amigos del mundo. Hola, amigos de Hive. Hoy ya es martes y como todos saben, los martes se comparte y se escucha buena música en esta plataforma. # Hoy, a propósito de la serie de publicaciones sobre mujeres cantantes que me gusta escuchar, les traigo una de las más talentosas y extraordinarias compositoras de Puerto Rico. Aunque su carrera es relativamente nueva, su música es escuchada, cantada y aplaudida por el público de muchos países. Escuchemos a la inigualable Kany García.

Agüita de coco

La primera pieza es uno de sus últimos éxitos: Como agüita de coco. Esta canción pertenece al octavo álbum de la cantante, El amor que merecemos, y es muy tropical y ligera, tan ligera como su letra, la cual nos habla de una persona que estaba negada a enamorarse nuevamente y termina en los brazos de cupido: # >No quería nada serio Yo no quería compromiso Pero tú me besaste y al corazón le hiciste un hechizo.

La segunda pieza se titula Remamos, pertenece a su álbum Contra el viento y en ella hace dúo con otra grande: Natalia Lafourcade. Esta pieza se ha convertido en un himno de empoderamiento no solo para las mujeres, también para todo aquel que sigue "remando" a pesar de las adversidades. El año pasado, en Venezuela, esta pieza musical era cantada a viva voz por los venezolanos que han tenido que "remar" para poder ver "un nuevo comienzo".

La tercera y última de las canciones es Confieso, la más antigua de las 3 y que es una de las piezas más entrañables y especiales del repertorio musical de Kany García. Esta canción es un homenaje que le hace la artista a su padre fallecido y la letra habla de eso: de duelo, de extrañar y amar a nuestros seres queridos que ya han muerto. # _____ Como siempre, les recuerdo que toda selección es subjetiva y estas tres canciones pueden no ser las tres mejores canciones de Kany, pero son las que más escucho. En lo que definitivamente coincidiremos es que Kany García es una de las mejores cantautoras del momento.

Today, in light of the series of posts about female singers that I like to listen to, I bring you one of the most talented and extraordinary composers from Puerto Rico. Although her career is relatively new, her music is heard, sung, and applauded by audiences in many countries. Let's listen to the unmatched Kany García. The first piece is one of her latest hits: Like coconut water. This song belongs to the singer's eighth album, The Love We Deserve, and is very tropical and light, as light as its lyrics, which tell us about a person who was reluctant to fall in love again and ends up in Cupid's arms: I didn't want anything serious I didn't want commitment But you kissed me and cast a spell on my heart. The second piece is titled "We Row," it belongs to their album "Against the Wind" and in it, they do a duet with another great: Natalia Lafourcade. This piece has become an anthem of empowerment not only for women but also for anyone who continues to "row" despite the adversities. Last year, in Venezuela, this musical piece was sung loudly by Venezuelans who have had to "row" to be able to see "a new beginning." The third and last of the songs is Confieso, the oldest of the 3, and it is one of the most endearing and special pieces of Kani García's musical repertoire. This song is a tribute that the artist pays to her deceased father, and the lyrics speak of grief, of missing and loving our loved ones who have already passed away. As always, I remind you that all selection is subjective and these three songs may not be the three best songs of Kani, but they are the ones I listen to the most. What we will definitely agree on is that Kany García is one of the best singer-songwriters of the moment.
