Materialists ESP/ENG

Saludos cinéfilos de #CineTV. Al fin logré ver la película [Materialistas](https://www.imdb.com/es/title/tt30253473/?ref_=ttmi_ov_i). Fue un film que esparaba ver en el cine pero por falta de tiempo no la alcancé a disfrutar en la gran pantalla. Y más que todo la quería ver por la actuación de Pedro Pascal. Ahora que ya logré verla, les vengo a compartir mi opinión sobre ella. > Greetings, movie lovers from #CineTV. I finally got to see the movie [Materialists](https://www.imdb.com/es/title/tt30253473/?ref_=ttmi_ov_i). It was a film I had been looking forward to seeing in the theater, but due to lack of time, I didn't get to enjoy it on the big screen. And more than anything, I wanted to see it because of Pedro Pascal's performance. Now that I've finally seen it, I'm here to share my opinion about it.  El film me resultó muy realista y totalmente diferente a lo que esperaba ver. La verdad creí que sería una típica película de romance sobre una chica que duda mucho para saber qué hombre le conviene más para su vida. Pero al final, la película fue un paso más allá porque la trama y su desarrollo están basados en la cruda verdad. > I found the film very realistic and totally different from what I expected to see. I honestly thought it would be a typical romantic movie about a girl who struggles to decide which man is best for her. But in the end, the film went a step further because the plot and its development are based on the harsh truth.  Acá no hablan del amor como si fuera todo color de rosas. Más bien lo plasman como si fuera una relación de negocios e irónicamente fue lo que me agradó del film. Porque tiene otra perspectiva que actualmente resulta muy válida para aquellas personas que no creen en el matrimonio y que ya con casarte tendrás una vida de cuento de hadas. > Here, they don't talk about love as if it were all roses. Rather, they portray it as if it were a business relationship, and ironically, that's what I liked about the film. Because it offers another perspective that is currently very valid for those who don't believe in marriage and that just by getting married you'll have a fairy-tale life.  Las personas siempre cambian, eso es un hecho. También es un hecho que cambian nuestros gustos y nuestras exigencias, así como el auto respeto y el auto valor que nos damos a nosotros mismos. Esto después de tantos golpes que nos da la vida, nos obliga a valorarnos, a poner límites y a buscar la felicidad de la manera más sencilla posible. > People always change, that's a fact. It's also a fact that our tastes and demands change, as well as the self-respect and self-worth we give ourselves. After so many blows that life deals us, this forces us to value ourselves, to set limits, and to seek happiness in the simplest way possible.  Esta película cuenta la historia de Lucy, quien trabaja de casamentera para que otras personas consigan al amor de su vida. Pero en su caso personal, su vida amorosa no existe y fue un fracaso total porque se dió cuenta que quería más de lo que su pareja en aquel entonces le podía ofrecer. Aquí ella es la materialista, de allí el nombre de la película. Además que se describe como una persona horrible por querer anteponer sus necesidades ante la de los demás. > This film tells the story of Lucy, who works as a matchmaker to help other people find the love of their lives. But in her own case, her love life is non-existent and was a total failure because she realized she wanted more than her partner at the time could offer her. Here she is the materialist, hence the name of the film. She also describes herself as a horrible person for putting her own needs before those of others.  Es aqui donde entran estos guapos caballeros a su mundo. Por un lado tenemos a Pedro Pascal que resulta ser todo un partido, un hombre modelo en todo el sentido de la palabra o para que otros lo entiendan mejor, un 10/10 para cualquier mujer porque tiene dinero, confianza en sí mismo, es respetuoso, guapo, atento y cariñoso. > This is where these handsome gentlemen enter your world. On one hand, we have Pedro Pascal, who turns out to be quite the catch, a model man in every sense of the word, or to put it another way, a 10/10 for any woman because he has money, self-confidence, is respectful, handsome, attentive, and affectionate.  Luego nos muestran a Chris Evans, un chico de 37 años sin dinero, trabajos temporales, un sueño medio frustrado de querer ser actor y que no es muy bien pagado porque trabaja en un teatro esporádicamente, además que vive en un departamento con sus compañeros de la universidad. Con todo esto se podría decir que es un hombre que se quedó estancado en la vida pero resulta ser el Ex de Dakota, a quien dejó por no tener dinero. > Then we are introduced to Chris Evans, a 37-year-old man with no money, temporary jobs, a somewhat frustrated dream of becoming an actor, and who is not very well paid because he works sporadically in a theater, in addition to living in an apartment with his college friends. With all this, one could say that he is a man who has become stuck in life, but he turns out to be Dakota's ex, whom she left because he had no money.  Si, suena un poco cruel pero el trasfondo de haber terminado la relación con él va más allá que por dinero. Esta película muestra una lección de vida no sólo para los protagonistas sino tambien para la audiencia que decide echarle una mirada. Al final qué vale más? tener estabilidad económica y compartir la vida con alguien a quien dificilmente puedas amar o querer pasar tu vida con alguien que te acepte como eres, con defectos y virtudes, y desee evolucionar contigo para ser mejor persona porque tú lo mereces? > Yes, it sounds a little cruel, but the reason for ending the relationship with him goes beyond money. This film teaches a life lesson not only for the protagonists but also for the audience who decides to watch it. In the end, what is more valuable? Having financial stability and sharing your life with someone you can hardly love, or spending your life with someone who accepts you as you are, with your flaws and virtues, and wants to grow with you to become a better person because you deserve it?  La decisión está dificil y ambas opciones me resultaron muy válidas. Elegir con quien pasar el resto de tu vida no es una decisión que debes tomar a la ligera, tampoco por desesperación creyendo que morirás sólo si sigues cumpliendo años y sigues estando soltero. La vida da muchas vueltas y mientras estés abierto a recibir amor, todo debería fluir como debe hacerlo. Por ser un film tan realista en el amor,le doy una calificación de 8/10. Choosing who to spend the rest of your life with is not a decision to be taken lightly, nor out of desperation, believing that you will die alone if you continue to grow older and remain single. Life takes many twists and turns, and as long as you are open to receiving love, everything should flow as it should. For being such a realistic film about love, I give it a rating of 8/10.
