Hoy me conecto con el maravilloso mundo del arte, la pintura y la creatividad en cada pincelada de este nuevo día, precisamente esta semana, se promueve la Semana Internacional de la Educación Artística, aproximadamente desde el 20 al 25 de mayo, desde ámbito educativo se realizan diferentes actividades para resaltar a plenitud el artista que todos llevamos en nuestro interior. Dicho impulso fue desarrollado por la UNESCO con el fin de promover, en el ámbito social y educativo, el arte en todas sus dimensiones.

Incentivar el arte y todas sus expresiones culturales es esencial para el desarrollo integral, pues desarrolla habilidades importantes para la vida y contribuye significativamente con el desarrollo de los procesos cognitivos. Además, es de gran ayuda en las habilidades socioemocionales. Esto quiere decir que el arte va más allá de lo que se ve a simple vista, va más allá de lo estético y se convierte en una estrategia apoteósica para el bienestar. Por ejemplo, mediante un dibujo podemos conocer el mundo interior de una persona: sus necesidades, gustos, temores, angustias, intereses, miedos, fantasías y traumas. Un dibujo dice más que las palabras y, definitivamente, facilita la expresión no verbal. De hecho, los dibujos sirven de test gráfico porque, de alguna manera, proyectan aspectos de la personalidad. A través del dibujo y el arte, se nos ayuda a conocer un poco el entorno familiar y la apreciación que tienen de sí mismos.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una actividad de arteterapia, que considero como un lenguaje de exploración del ser. Cabe resaltar que la arteterapia se relaciona poderosamente con la educación artística, aunque tienen objetivos y enfoques distintos. Por ejemplo, la educación artística se enfoca en técnicas, estética y expresión corporal con propósitos culturales y educativos, mientras que la arteterapia es un recurso terapéutico que ayuda a explorar y gestionar las emociones, proporcionando bienestar integral mediante el arte. Considero que la arteterapia enriquece el ámbito educativo, promoviendo pertinentemente la salud mental. Por esta razón, la podemos utilizar en la praxis pedagógica por sus múltiples beneficios.
