I’m working on a personal project right now called Texas Bridges, where I’m taking my drone out to iconic bridges around the great state of Texas. The plan is to shoot this series, and display it in a gallery during East Austin Studio Tour in November of 2018.
Yesterday (4.8.18) I rode out 2.5hrs from Austin to checkout this 79 year old Bridge in San Saba.
Regency is a single lane suspension bridge aka the "Swinging Bridge" that connects 2 dirt roads between the Colorado river for a community of 25 people. I can tell you, on every step of the 325 feet span, you can really feel the bridge swing.
The bridge has been closed and restored multiple times. Some kids lit a fire on the bridge back in 2003 and burned holes through the wooden surface.
Regency is truly a beloved historical landmark that you should really go checkout yourself, I'm sure glad I made the trip out there!
If you appreciate this project and would like to see more content like this, please like/share so that I know I'm doing something right.
If you have a favorite Texas Bridge that you'd like for me to cover, please leave a comment, and I'll go there.
