The story of the washing machine is quite simple, but difficult on the other hand, because not having one at home makes things difficult, since washing by hand is not a task that many of us enjoy, at least I don't, because it's difficult to wash thick fabrics, sheets, and towels. I was always used to this appliance, so when I started living with my partner, we didn't have one. I always washed at my mother's house because it was close by, or sometimes at my mother-in-law's house in Cumana. When we moved to Maturín, we had her mother's washing machine, so I washed with them for a while, especially since her mother was out of the country. Then there was a time when we bought an apartment and left that house for other reasons, so in the apartment we had to wash by hand, and even worse, against the clock, since the water was only available in the mornings, so many people took advantage of washing then. Thank God my partner helped me wash, and when my parents were there, they helped too. After living there for a few months, we returned to my partner's mother's house, as she was alone (we previously had some acquaintances there who played a dirty trick on us, which is why we left that house), but once they left, we decided to return, not so much for the house, but rather for its proximity to Gael's work and school. Here, we continued to use the washing machine. Once my partner's mother returned, we decided to look for a house. We rented for a while, and in that house I had to wash by hand again, as I don't like to bother anyone. I did that for a few months. I remember that doing laundry was an odyssey. There were times when I washed for three days straight so I could take a break. Plus, since I didn't have a washing machine, clothes piled up until I decided to rent a washing machine twice a month for the heaviest loads and clothes in general.
