Remember a few months ago, we put up a mesh screen in the backyard to protect us from the sun's rays, the wind, and even the sand? If not, I told you about it again. Hehe, the fact is that this time we used the same type of material to cover what we call the porch, in front of the house.

That area in front of my mom's house is completely exposed to the sun's rays. The idea wasn't just that we could sit down for a few hours during the day and have our morning coffee, but also that the plants in that area wouldn't suffer as much from the direct sun.

The mesh is the same black color as the one we installed previously. This time, the required length of mesh was purchased in practically a single cut, avoiding any stitching or additions.

To install this mesh, a drill was needed. One of my uncles did the installation, drilling holes in the walls where the ramplugs would be placed and screwing in the hooks to hold the fabric.

The truth is that the hardest part was drilling holes in the walls; the rest was easier. The hooks were placed 1/2 meter apart so that the mesh would extend further. In the area where there are no walls to hang with hooks, several sides were secured with scraps of the same mesh. This way, the difference in material isn't as noticeable and it looks neater.

These days, it's difficult to invest in materials to build a porch with cement, blocks, and everything that entails, so we have to look for alternatives to make staying in that refuge called home that sees us wake up every day even easier.

I think a good job was done. Some things could also be corrected to make it look better. Even so, the result makes a big difference. My mom is happy with her mesh; it has great coverage. Although it's not suitable for sitting on that part at noon because the sun is impossible to see, we can sit in it in the morning, and even in the afternoon when the sun begins to set. There was a terrible wind recently, and the mesh is still there; it didn't break or warp, so for me, this type of material still passes the test.

I've seen this type of mesh used as super-cute pool covers, as a roof for vehicles, in open spaces for sitting and having coffee, and for covering planters. It's super useful and versatile. The limits are in our minds, so if you want to cover an area of your house and don't have much budget, this may be an option for you. Based on experience, I recommend it 100%.

¡¡Hola mi querida familia @homesolutions!! Como la están pasando?. Por estos lados estamos siendo afectados por las fuertes lluvias y vientos, pero estamos bien gracias a Dios. Recuerdan que hace unos meses atrás, en casa colocamos una malla para protegernos de los rayos del sol, el viento e incluso la arena en el patio trasero de la casa? Sino recuerdan ya les conté nuevamente, Jejeje, el caso es que ésta vez utilizamos el mismo tipo de material para cubrir lo que para nosotros viene siendo el porche, en el frente de la casa.

Esa área del frente de la casa de mi mamá está expuesta totalmente a los rayos del sol. La idea no era solamente que nos pudiéramos sentar en algunas horas del día, tomarnos el cafecito por la mañana, sino que también las plantas que están en esa área no sufran tanto con el sol directo.

La malla es igual de color negro que la que colocamos anteriormente, ésta vez se compró la cantidad de metros que se llevó el área prácticamente en un solo corte, evitando cualquier tipo de costura o añadidura.

Para colocar ésta malla se necesito el taladro, uno de mis tíos realizó la instalación, entre perforar las paredes donde se colocarían los ramplug y atornillar los ganchos para sujetar la tela.

La verdad es que lo más difícil era perforar las paredes con el taladro, el resto fue más sencillo, los ganchos se colocaron a 1/2 metro de distancia para que quedará más extendida la malla. En la parte donde no hay paredes para sujetar con ganchos, con retazos de la misma malla se aseguraron varios lados, así tampoco se nota tanto la diferencia de material y se ve más prolijo.

En estos tiempos es difícil invertir en materiales para construir un porche con cemento, bloques y todo lo que eso involucra, así que, tenemos que buscar alternativas para facilitar aún más la estancia en ese refugio llamado hogar que nos ve despertar cada día.

Pienso que se hizo un buen trabajo, también se pueden ir corrigiendo algunas cosas para que se vea mejor, aún así el resultado hace una gran diferencia, mi mamá está contenta con su malla, tiene una gran cobertura, aunque no es para sentarse en esa parte al medio día porque el sol está imposible, pero si podemos sentarnos por la mañana, incluso por las tardes cuando comienza a bajar el sol. Hace poco hubo un viento terrible y la malla sigue allí, no se rompió o deformó así que para mi sigue pasando la prueba éste tipo de material.

Éste tipo de mallas las he visto como techos para piscinas súper lindas, para hacer de techo para vehículos, en lugares abiertos para sentarse a tomar el café, para cubrir viveros, es súper útil y versátil. Los límites están en nuestra mente, así que si deseas cubrir algún área de tu casa y no cuentas con mucho presupuesto, ésta puede ser una opción para tí, desde la experiencia te la recomiendo 100%.
