Several days have passed since my last post. The truth is, due to health issues, my spirits aren't the best.
For about two weeks now, I've been experiencing the complications of a failed treatment for a toothache that, due to lack of care, has become unbearably painful.
I was trying antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, but on Friday, when I went for a checkup at the dentist, he told me they weren't doing anything, something I knew because of the intense pain.
They changed my treatment to a stronger antibiotic and also to a non-generic, slightly more expensive pain medication.
These past few days I've finally seen some light at the end of the tunnel, some peace of mind, because I hadn't slept in days.
Eating was a real pain; everything bothered me. Anyone who's had a toothache knows this is the worst.
Getting to this point is personal negligence. It hurts so much more to know they're going to extract it instead of doing something less serious, but it was entirely my fault. In that nervousness about going to the dentist that some of us have, I let time pass until my tooth was damaged.
I have to admit that the experience makes you shudder, brings you back down to earth, and having this intense pain has made me determined not to let it happen again.
Next Thursday I'll be free of this karma, even though I'll lose one of my teeth, but peace of mind is a priority.

Varios días han pasado de mi último post, la verdad es que por inconvenientes de salud los ánimos no son los mejores.
Hace unos quince días estoy sintiendo las complicaciones de un tratamiento fallido para poder tratar una muela que por falta de atención se ha hecho insoportable el dolor.
Estuve tratando con antibióticos, antiinflamatorios pero el día viernes que fui a revisión en el odontólogo me ha informado que no me estaba haciendo nada, situación que sabía por el intenso dolor.
Me cambiaron el tratamiento por un antibiótico más fuerte, también por un medicamento para el dolor que no es genérico, un poco más costoso.
Estos días apenas es que he visto luz por decir de alguna manera, tranquilidad, porque tenía días sin dormir, comer, todo me molestaba, los que han sufrido con muelas saben que ésto es lo peor.
Llegar a éste punto es negligencia personal, me da súper más dolor saber que ahora me harán extracción en vez de algo más leve, pero fue mi culpa totalmente, en ese nerviosismo de ir al odontólogo que algunos tenemos, deje pasar el tiempo hasta que se me daño la muela.
Tengo que reconocer que la experiencia nos hace estremecer, aterrizar, y tener éste dolor tan intenso me llevo a no permitir que me vuelva a pasar.
Ya el próximo jueves estaré libre de éste karma, aunque perderé una de mis piezas dentales, pero la tranquilidad es una prioridad.
