At home, taking photographs isn't just my hobby. For many years, it was my mom's hobby. She has hundreds of photos organized in albums that not only capture special moments but are also part of our routine as children. Imagine if we were seven (7) siblings. Hehe. So many stories saved.

The thing is, my mom used to receive them as a gift every time she had the photos she took with her little Kodak camera developed. Remember those simple film ones we had to take to a photo studio? My mom had that one, she even had several, even used to use instant photos.

Albums are for standard-sized photos, in my opinion; they're 10 cm wide x 15 cm thick. They were even more practical to store because my mom has so many, she keeps them carefully guarded in several bags that only I know where she hides, hehe.

These albums tell many stories, some let you see part of the first photo, others have harder, closed covers, they look older, also some a little prettier with beautiful landscapes on the cover, there were those albums that start with the birth, but they were damaged by humidity, they were older, in the end I only received the photos in plastic bags with the identification of the photo studio, the photos were always of good quality.

These ones we still have at home have protective covers, which has allowed us to preserve the photographs for more than 35 years.

These albums are part of our family history, of our life. Whenever we want to relive moments, we enter that world of stories told by each of the photos they hold. Each album is a treasure.

Having these albums is truly a gift I hope to receive from my mom someday. We have so many memories in photographs. My mom was a photo fanatic; she didn't want to miss anything of us, just like I am of my daughter. There are even photos of neighbors and friends, hehe. And you? Do you have many family albums? En casa no solo es mi hobby tomar fotografías, durante muchos años era la afición de mi mamá, tiene cientos de fotos organizadas en álbumes que no solo guardan momentos especiales, también parte de nuestra rutina de pequeños, imagínense que somos siete (7) hermanos, Jejeje. Muchas historia guardada.

El caso es que mi mamá los recibía como obsequio cada vez que mandaba a revelar las fotos que tomaba con su camarita marca Kodak, recuerdan esas de película, sencilla, que debíamos llevar a un estudio fotográfico? Esa tenía mi mamá, incluso tuvo varias, antes hasta para fotos instantáneas.

Los album son para fotos de un tamaño estándar en mi opinión, tienen 10 cm de ancho x 15 cm de algo. Eran incluso más prácticos a la hora de guardar porque mi mamá tiene muchísimos, los tiene resguardados celosamente en varios bolsos que solo yo sé dónde esconde, Jejeje.

Estos album cuentan muchas historias, algunos dejaban ver parte de la primera foto, otros tienen unas carátulas más duras, cerradas, se ven más antiguos, también unos un poco más bonitos con hermosos paisajes en la carátula, habían esos album que se inician con el nacimiento, pero se dañaron con la humedad, eran más antiguos, al final solo recibía las fotos en bolsas de plástico con la identificación del estudio fotográfico, siempre las fotos fueron de buena calidad.

Estos que aún tenemos en casa tienen sus fundas protectoras lo que ha permitido conservar las fotografías por más de 35 años.

Estos album son parte de nuestra historia familiar, de nuestra vida, siempre que queremos revivir momentos, nos adentramos a ese mundo de historias que cuenta cada una de las fotos que guarda como un tesoro cada álbum.

Realmente tener estos álbumes es un regalo que espero poder recibir de mi mamá en algún momento. Tenemos demasiados recuerdos en fotografías, mi mamá era fanática de las fotos, ella no quería perderse nada de nosotros, así como yo de mi hija, hasta de los vecinos y amigos existen fotos, Jejeje.
