In Venezuela, activities are held to commemorate Catholic dates. In this case, fairs are held in commemoration of the patron saint of the municipality, as in this case, the "Virgin of the Rosary," the patron saint of Cabimas and Santa Rita, which we celebrate. These activities have always been held, including the festivities themselves, but for a long time, some traditions were lost, such as the "coleo" (bullfighting) parade, the exhibition of dual-purpose animals for livestock, which was absent.
This year, the livestock association of this side, along with newly elected politicians from the area, organized a fair in the livestock park (Agel). In my 42 years, I have never attended an exhibition of this type here in my municipality. I had participated in other municipalities where livestock is the main activity; in this area, it is practiced as a secondary activity. This activity would also close with a performance by Vitico Castillo, a well-known Venezuelan llanera music singer from the state of Apure.
The park has always been there, but these types of activities weren't being held, and although it wasn't free, admission was cheap at $5 per person. The idea of this outing was to continue enjoying my birthday, which was just this past Monday.
We arrived early, barely 8 p.m., there were few people, but everything was fine, the cool atmosphere, the stage, food vendors everywhere, souvenirs, also the animal exhibition, which I personally like a lot at these events. There were cows of different breeds, buffalo, horses, they even had competition programs with these animals.
The coleo sleeve, yes, it was the first time I attended because it's not my taste. In the end, it was to please my husband because he likes that. We spent two rounds in the coleo sleeve, I didn't like it at all, thank goodness I didn't see anything horrible towards the bulls, but the dust that rose up drove us away, we left there, but not before drinking Pictures.
Several bands performed to entertain the crowd. As time went by, more and more people arrived, hehe, all waiting for Vitico Castillo to arrive for his performance.
The whole time he was cool, my husband was always attentive, although when the singer arrived at 4 in the morning, my boyfriend showed his true intention of going to the fair. Hehe, he sang all of Vitico's songs. Even the people present looked at him in their excitement. Hehe.
It was a long but fun night. We had a good time, the weather was cool. It was my first time going to an event like that. Although next time I'd rather see it in private. This was more for the excitement of spending some time with my husband. We returned home at 6:30 AM, exhausted but happy.

En Venezuela se realizan actividades para conmemorar fechas católicas, en ese particular las ferias se hacen en conmemoración de la patrona del municipio, como en éste caso la "Virgen del Rosario" es la patrona de Cabimas y Santa Rita que celebramos. Estás actividades se han estado realizando desde siempre, las fiestas en sí, pero por un tiempo largo habían algunas tradiciones perdidas, como la manga de coleo, la exhibición de animales doble propósito para la ganadería, esto estaba ausente.
Éste año se organizo por parte de la asociación ganadera de éste lado, más los políticos recién electos de la zona lo que es la celebración de feria en el parque ganadero (Agel), en mis 42 años nunca había asistido a una exhibición de éste tipo aquí en mi municipio había participado en otros municipios donde la ganadería es la actividad principal, en ésta zona se practica de manera secundaria. Ésta actividad también cerraría con la presentación de un cantante de música llanera venezolana del estado Apure bastante conocido "Vitico Castillo".
El parque siempre ha estado allí, sin embargo no se estaban realizando este tipo de actividades y aunque no era gratis, la entrada valía poco, 5$ por persona. La idea de ésta salida era seguir disfrutando de mi cumpleaños, que apenas fue éste lunes pasado.
Llegamos temprano, apenas a las 8 de la noche, habían pocas personas, sin embargo todo bien, el ambiente fresco, la tarima, ventas de comida por todos lados, recuerditos, también la exhibición de animales que en lo personal me gusta mucho de estos eventos, habían vacas de diferentes razas, búfalos, caballos, incluso tenían programas competencias con estos animales.
La manga de coleo, si es la primera vez que asistí porque no son mis gustos, al final era para complacer a mi esposo porque a el si le gusta éso, estuvimos durante dos rondas en la manga de coleo, no me gustó nadita, menos mal que no ví nada horrible hacia los toros, pero el polvo que se levanta nos corrió, nos fuimos de allí, no sin antes tomar fotitos.
Se presentaron varios grupos de música para entretener a las personas, a medida que pasaba el tiempo llegaba más gente, Jejeje, todo esperando que llegara Vitico Castillo para su presentación.
En todo ese tiempo fue chévere, mi esposo siempre con sus atenciones, aunque cuando llegó el cantante a las 4 de la mañana mi galán mostró la verdadera intención de ir a la feria, Jejeje, el se canto todas las canciones del Vitico, hasta la gente presente lo miraba en su emoción, Jejeje.
Fue una noche larga pero divertida, la pasamos bien, el clima fresco, primera vez que iba a un evento de ese tipo, aunque para la próxima prefiero que lo veamos en íntimo, esto fue más por el bochinche de pasar un rato diferente con mi esposo. Nos regresamos a la casa a las 6:30 AM destruidos pero felices.
