Lost in Laughter, Found by the Falls: Our Hilarious Hike to Busay's Hidden Gem

---- Mabuhay, Hivers ! 😊 It's me the one and only NatsSsssh!.Whoops before anything else How Are you?.I Hope you all had a great day and are full of energy because I am back again and this time,I have a gem to share with you the Busay Falls. ----  ---- My friends and I really wanted an adventure so we decided to go to Busay Falls in Cebu.Funny thing is Busay means waterfalls in our language so Busay Falls is like saying (waterfalls waterfalls) 😁 but it sounds kind of fun like saying, This is really a waterfall!.☺️ ----  ---- Busay Falls was said to be beautiful because it was a secret spot that not many tourists knew about. Only the locals knew about it, which made us even more eager to see its pretty waterfalls. ----  ---- It was easy for us to get to Busay Falls. Some of us who had motorcycles enjoyed the breezy ride. Since some of my classmates lived around there, the curvy roads felt familiar, not like we were going somewhere new. We had a couple of ways to go whether we take a longer motorcycle ride through a place called Balud (which means "wave" in the local language, funny for a road by the sea) or a more exciting walk through another area called Talisay which would take us through the middle of the land to Basak where Busay Falls was hidden. ----  ---- Since we were feeling a bit adventurous or maybe just easily convinced, we decided to walked all the way to the falls with full of energy and excited to see the views so we chose to walk. And that's when things started to get funny. One of our classmate told us it would be a short walk maybe just an hour. We believed him because he seemed so certain. But it felt like we were walking forever!. ----  ---- At first,the walk was nice. The path went through green plants and we walked past farmers working in their fields and they smiled and nodded at us which was lovely.There were also steep cliffs that dropped down making the place feel a bit wild. We talked and laughed easily as we walked. We told stories,made jokes and remembered our time in college. Our happy voices echoed in the quiet place. At first,we walked fast and felt great. We were like explorers walking through nature! ----  ---- Even though we were getting tired we found the situation funny. My classmate kept saying we were almost there but we were not and it became a joke. He'd say, I can almost hear the waterfall but then we'd walk around the corner and see more path.We laughed a lot and that's what kept us going even though our feet were tired.We told funny and embarrassing stories and talked about our dreams.Our voices mixed together making the hard walk feel more like a funny adventure we were all sharing. ----  ---- Looking back that seemingly endless walk was the best kind of trek.It wasn't about climbing a big mountain or doing something really hard physically. It was about the journey itself made infinitely better by the company of friends. It was about laughing together so we didn't focus on our sore muscles but instead we telling funny stories to forget the hot sun and knowing that we were all going through this together, no matter how long it took. ----  ---- After a fun and long walk, we finally heard the Busay Falls! It wasn't huge, but it was so pretty with water gently falling over green rocks into a clear pool. The air felt nice and fresh. ----  ---- It was a beautiful, quiet, and special place. We weren't tired anymore when we saw it. The sound of the water made us feel calm. We found a peaceful escape from everything. ----  ---- We spent the afternoon relaxing at Busay Falls. We put our feet in the cool water, ate snacks and talked quietly. We also took pictures but being there was even better than the photos. When the sun started to go down and we had to leave. The walk back felt easier because we were happy. ----  ---- Our trip to Busay Falls wasn't just about seeing a waterfall.It was about the funny things that happened and how our friendship made the walk a great memory.
