RE: The Dinner Table Detective: A Mystery Anime Hit or Miss?

I tried watching this anime when it aired last season, but I couldn't get attached to it in the slightest. Although I am not a big fan of detective stories or mysteries unless they are directly or indirectly inspired by the great Sherlock Holmes, This anime has a plot that, although it captivates you at first, later you become disenchanted either by its rhythm or by its characters, mostly. The character you mentioned, the detective in a white suit, is what literally made me stop watching this anime. I couldn't stand his way of being, his screams and everything, and not because I hate the one who does his voice but rather by his overall personality.

It's unfortunate that a major studio like Madhouse bothered to animate this work; personally, I think they could have found something better to adapt.

Good review.
