Personally, I admit that I remembered the remake of this great film more than the original work itself. This is probably because I saw this film when I was too young to remember anything about it. In this case, we can say that **RoboCop** was one of his most successful and memorable projects, even today. This idea of a dystopian future plagued by crime, chaos, and war is one with which we now seem quite familiar because of how things are in real life. But, of course, it is both the main character and the messages in this film that make it a cult classic.

The same goes for a society on the verge of collapse in terms of crime, mafias, and all kinds of injustices. The vision of the devastated city of **Detroit** reminds me of some places in **LATAM**. But worst of all are the people themselves, who lack common sense and are glued to a screen all the time.

The decades have certainly taken their toll, but I don't think it has aged that badly, quite the contrary. Let's say that what it lacks in many aspects is compensated for by the way it develops its characters and uses this story to make us think about what makes a person human. It also has a very dark sense of humor, mainly due to the way certain characters act and behave.

The computer-generated effects are another detail worth mentioning that, rather than disgusting me, make me laugh, especially because of the design and the way the **ED-209** moves and sounds. I also like the classic and well-done sound effects, although let's talk about the soundtrack, which is unbeatable. In short, this movie is perfect for lovers of classics and the 80s.
