Why do we dream? A little science, a little feeling.

Hello everyone! 🌙 Today I will talk about something interesting. Why do we dream during sleep? We all dream at some point. Sometimes sweet dreams, sometimes scary dreams, and sometimes we see something that is completely impossible. When I was a child, I thought that dreams might be some kind of magic! But later I realized that there is science hidden in them.

When we sleep, it seems like everything has stopped. The body is resting, the surroundings are silent. But in fact, a part of us is still working, which is our brain.

There is a special period of sleep, which is called REM. (REM). During this period, even though the eyes are closed, the inside moves, and the brain then starts to make up its own story. That story is actually our dream.

Everything we see, hear, think or feel during the day is stored in the brain. At night, during sleep, it organizes all those things, mixes them, and then creates a strange story. For example, if you think about someone or something all day, that thing will come to your dreams at night. It's as if the brain is saying, "Hey, let's rearrange your thoughts a little bit."

Scientists say that dreaming is a completely normal thing. It's the brain's own job. Sometimes the sadness, fear, or worry that we remember is brought to light by the brain in dreams. So dreams are not really bad.

However, not all dreams have meaning. Sometimes the brain creates random images, such as flying in the sky, wandering around in lost places, or seeing something that doesn't happen in reality. These have no meaning, just brain games.

The most interesting thing is that we forget most dreams when we wake up. Because the part of the brain that works during sleep cannot retain memories. So when we wake up, that story slowly disappears, just like smoke.

Finally, let me say one thing: dreaming is actually a fun thing. It shows us the thoughts, fears, and desires inside our minds like pictures.
