I've thought a lot about what scars mean. Not just the ones we carry on our skin, but also those that no one sees and that weigh just as much. And I discovered that, instead of hiding them, we can give them a place, as kintsugi does when it mends what is broken with gold.
We are not lessened by what was broken within us. On the contrary, each fracture changes us, teaches us, and, in some way, makes us shine differently.
With this illustration, I wanted to leave a small reminder: there is no shame in the marks we carry... sometimes that's where the most valuable things are born.

He pensado mucho en lo que significan las cicatrices. No solo las que llevamos en la piel, también esas que nadie ve y que pesan igual. Y descubrí que, en vez de esconderlas, podemos darles un lugar, como hace el kintsugi al reparar lo roto con oro.
No somos menos por lo que se quebró en nosotros. Al contrario, cada fractura nos cambia, nos enseña y, de alguna manera, nos hace brillar distinto.
Con esta ilustración quise dejar un pequeño recordatorio: no hay vergüenza en las marcas que cargamos… a veces ahí es donde nace lo más valioso.
