If you had asked me a while ago about the Japanese dish I never thought I'd eat, I wouldn't have thought twice about answering "sushi." What good would it be to try raw fish with rice? But recently, during the "Ambassador of Japan in Cuba" National Iaido Cup, courtesy of a Japanese restaurant in my city, each participant was given a very generous portion of sushi. At the time, my classmates convinced me to try this, in my opinion, infamous dish, and to my surprise, it was anything but repulsive; the word "delicious" wouldn't do it justice. Following this revelation or discovery on my part, I decided to add a new sticker to the International Nikkei Day collection that wasn't previously included: sushi. Si tiempo atrás me hubieran preguntado por el platillo de comida japonesa que nunca pensé que comería, no lo hubiera pensado dos veces antes de contestar "Sushi". Qué tendría de bueno probar pescado crudo con arroz? Pero hace poco, durante la Copa Nacional de Iaido "Embajador de Japón en Cuba", por cortesía de un restaurante de comida japonesa de mi ciudad, se nos fue obsequiado una muy generosa ración de sushi a cada participante. En ese momento, mis compañeros me convencieron de probar ese, a mi parecer, infame platillo y para mi sorpresa, fue todo lo contrario a algo repulsivo, la palabra "delicioso" no le haría justicia. A raíz de tal revelación o descubrimiento por mi parte, decidí, añadir un nuevo sticker a la colección del Día Internacional del Nikkei que no estaba incluía previamente; Sushi.
