I was recently asked by two models, Ksenia and Lillenka, if I would be interested in shooting them in a Vivienne Westwood themed studio? Naturally I was very honoured to be asked so jumped at the chance knowing it would be a colourful shoot..
I think the word would be eclectic when I attended the studio. The place was actually in the process of moving sites and was packing up the whole place that day after we'd finished shooting
But I have to say it was a great creative space, very reminiscent of the Big Breakfast TV show from the 90's if anyone remembers that, pinks and garish colours, and I say that in a good way, its made for some iconic and eye popping shots
Of course all credit to both Ksenia and Lillenka too who are best friends and seem to do most shoots together so had a natural chemistry
There was a very small hallway too where the owner had collected paintings from what looked like a 60's Spanish era, they made a good backdrop and with an outfit change made for a stately feel behind classy cocktail dresses and pearls..
We finished the shoot in the kitchen area. The outfits the ladies changed into made me feel like they were about to go clubbing at a nightclub, a particularly dangerous nightclub was the vibe that I got :)
Then to finish we threw all of the colourful cushions onto the floor and I shot from above which I admit I like this perspective. I don't see many people shoot this way but it just makes for a different angle..
This shoot was definitely a lot of fun, largely down to the models, but it was a fun relaxed atmosphere, and well I was pleased with the shots, I hope you like them too.
Thanks very much for looking, Neil
