Dark Intentions. Unmasking the Appeal" Tobacco is arguably one of the most attractively packaged products out there in the market. This is done to captivate the users, with the appealing flavours and colourful branding to keep them using it. But behind the savoury flavour and sleek packaging, do you really know the health implications of tobacco use? Tobacco has Nicotine as it's active ingredient. Nicotine is a strong stimulant that acts on brain to release dopamine which is known as "the pleasure chemical". The problem is that it is highly addictive and that's why you see smokers going to have more and more until they finish a pack without wasting time. ***Do you also know the hidden dangers?*** Tar and Carbon monoxide are also released as you burn tobacco. They are both dangerous chemicals.  ### Health Dangers * Prolonged usage of tobacco increase the risk of hypertension, stroke and other heart diseases., * The Tar causes lung problems and even lung cancer in severe cases., * The carbon monoxide reduces the oxygen binding capacity of haemoglobin because they bind faster than oxygen thereby reducing the oxygen supply to tissues and organs., * Tobacco addiction also damages families and relationships., ### Reality Check Research has it that Tobacco kills more than 8 million people each year.
