Another card featured the terrifying Big Mom. She’s ugly and cruel, so pulling her card wasn’t exactly exciting. But I was thrilled to see Nami in one of the cards — the Cat Burglar herself, one of the best characters in One Piece. Nami is stunning.

Other characters in the set included Kin'emon, Emporio Ivankov, and Trafalgar Law. When I saw Law’s card, I remembered that he hasn’t appeared in the manga for quite some time. Oda-sensei took a break, both to rest and to help develop the live-action series produced by Netflix. The next manga arc promises to be explosive.

The cards are beautiful. The one that impressed me the most was Shanks’ card, not just because of its material and intricate details, but because of its aesthetic appeal.
