Another day, another blog! Hello dear community! Glad to be able to share with you again one captivating attraction in our province.
In our municipality, in Culaba, hidden is an amazing wonder- a beautiful cascade named by the locals “Dapanas”. The more than an hour hike starts from Brgy. Calipayan, Culaba, Biliran.
I've been hearing enticing stories from the elders about Dapanas a long time ago and I'm so happy I finally get to witness it’s beauty in person. It's like a hidden gem in a dense forest. I don’t think many people get to come to the place often as the hike is really long and challenging. Also, it's kind of difficult to find a guide.
Good thing, our friends from another city came to visit me and my other friends in the local area. We wanted to tour them around. So, they suggested we try Dapanas cascades. I’m very much excited as I’ve been longing to go there for a long time. Glad that we have elder companies who are familiar with the path and assisted us all the way.
We started the hike after lunchtime .As I mentioned already, the path is really challenging. It’s steep and rocky. We have crossed three rivers. There are also times when you have to get through a dense forest and that really gives me the most chills. I really recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants or anything that can make you fully covered.
The hike was tiring but it’s worth the long walk. As soon as I saw the flowing water We’re welcomed by the crystal blue water. We first ate the snack we bought and right after we plunged into the deep blue cold water.
It's amazing that there are two levels of the cascades and both really look amazing.
I find all the views beautiful and it's surrounded with big rocks.
We really enjoyed sliding through the stones and let the water fall from our back like were being massaged by the water pressure.
It was a really joyful day and another beautiful spot unlocked. I really recommend this for those who love to hike and swim in the mountains.
