Today I want to show you the fan art I made of a character from Holozing that I really like. It’s Forest Healer, with her beautiful green hair and shiny strands. I drew her in her uniform, but she’s taking off her boots to enjoy the rain and the grass beneath her feet.
This was a drawing I truly enjoyed making. I worked on it slowly during my free time. Since I didn’t have a clear idea at first, I kept adding details, making changes, and shifting things around. I really loved the whole process.
Hoy quiero mostrarles el fan art que hice de un personaje de Holozing que me gusta mucho. Se trata de Forest Healer, con su característico cabello hermoso de color verde y mechones brillantes. Además, la dibujé con su uniforme, pero se está quitando las botas para disfrutar de la lluvia y el pasto bajo sus pies.
Este fue un dibujo que me gustó hacer mucho, lo fui creando poco a poco en mis ratos libres. Como no tenía una idea clara al principio, fui agregando detalles, haciendo cambios y moviendo cosas de lugar. En verdad disfruté mucho todo el proceso.
For my drawing, I’ll be using Ibis Paint. I really enjoy drawing here. I started by sketching a basic human structure and gradually added details. I didn’t have much faith in this drawing at first, but as always when you’re drawing, the best thing is to carry it through to the end. So: draw, draw, and draw—fix mistakes and improve parts of the drawing.
Para mi dibujo estaré usando Ibis Paint. Me gusta mucho dibujar aquí. Seguido comencé a bocetear una estructura humana básica a la que fui agregándole detalles. No tenía mucha fe en este dibujo, pero como siempre que se está dibujando, lo bueno es llevar todo hasta el final. Así que: dibujar, dibujar y dibujar, corregir errores y mejorar partes del dibujo.
By the second sketch, everything was much more defined and the beautiful girl that is Forest Healer had taken clearer shape—especially her lovely hair. I really, really like the pose I gave her; I think it makes her look even more graceful and beautiful. I also drew her shoes off to the side and her socks still on her feet. Her outfit without the jacket is very pretty.
Ya en mi segundo boceto todo estaba mucho más definido y tenía más forma la bella chica que es Forest Healer, y su hermoso cabello. Me gusta mucho, mucho esta pose que le hice; creo que la hace ver aún más bella y esbelta. También dibujé de una vez sus zapatos a un costado y sus medias en los pies. La ropa sin su chaqueta es muy bonita.
With the sketch fully ready, all that’s left is to use my line art brush and decide which lines from the sketch will become final. I really, really like how it turned out, although these are just the first lines—they still need many, many more details, like line weight and thickness variations, etc.
Con todo el boceto listo, solo me queda utilizar mi pincel de line art y decidir cuáles de las líneas del boceto serán las definitivas. Me gusta mucho, mucho cómo quedó, aunque estas son apenas las primeras líneas, a las que hay que agregarles muchos, muchos más detalles—como valor lineal y variaciones en su grosor, etc.
And that’s how it turned out with everything added to my drawing: base color, line value, lines of different types and thickness. All of that gives the drawing much more character and personality, and now I’m ready to start coloring everything at once. I’ll begin with our protagonist and her shoes, and then I’ll work on a simple background.
Y así quedó con todo eso añadido a mi dibujo: color base, valor lineal, líneas de distintos tipos y grosor. Todo eso le da mucho más carácter y personalidad al dibujo, y me deja listo para comenzar a colorear todo de una vez. Empezaré primero por nuestra protagonista y sus zapatos, y después me encargaré de hacerle un fondo simple.
With all the color finished, it’s time to work on the background. I’ll start by separating the sky from the grass beneath the protagonist’s feet, and then I’ll create a sky with clouds.
Con todo el color listo, es momento de trabajar en el fondo. Comenzaré dividiendo el cielo de la hierba bajo los pies de la protagonista, y luego haré un cielo con nubes.
Now it’s time to fill the ground with little plants—tiny weeds beneath the feet of our forest guardian. I’ll make lots and lots of mini-plants to see how it looks. I’m using copy-and-paste with one of them because it makes the work much, much easier.
Ahora es el momento de llenar nuestro suelo de plantitas, pequeños yerbajos bajo los pies de nuestra guardiana del bosque. Haré muchas, muchas miniplantitas a ver qué tal se ve. Me apoyo de una con la herramienta de copiar y pegar porque me facilita mucho, mucho el trabajo.
And this is my complete drawing. I loved it, especially because it was made entirely from inspiration and free time. It was a really good creative exercise, and I truly liked the result. She looks beautiful and so fresh in that setting, as if the air around her were very clean.
But that’s not all. Since Ibis Paint allows small video exports, I added a rain effect to my drawing—not a torrential storm, but a soft and gentle rain that refreshes her skin. A few minutes later, the video was ready, and here it is for you to enjoy. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Y este es todo mi dibujo. Lo amé, sobre todo porque está hecho completamente desde la inspiración y los ratos libres. Fue un muy buen ejercicio creativo, y el resultado me gustó mucho. Se ve hermosa y tan fresca en ese entorno, como si el aire que la rodeara fuera muy limpio.
Pero esto no es todo. Como Ibis Paint permite hacer pequeños videos, le agregué el efecto de lluvia a mi dibujo—pero no una lluvia torrencial, sino una suave y tranquila que refresca su piel. Unos minutos después, el video ya está listo, y es este que les comparto. Espero que les guste tanto como a mí.
