Magic City: An American Fantasy is the name of the show. I came across it by accident and adjudged it a must watch instantly. I had to abandon the other stuff I was watching for it.
Cos I've always been fascinated about the strip club Magic City. I've been a big rap fan all my life and I've heard so many rappers rap and talk about Magic City, that was how I got to know about it in the first place, so my first impression was that it's got to be such a great place.
I browsed about it and found out it was such a big deal in USA. I got even more fascinated because I know about fast food franchises and other franchises, but a strip club franchise? Such a great idea! I thought it was the kind of idea that if someone else wasn't doing I would have put it in my sort of wish plus to-do list if things work out that well with my finances ๐.
So with this fascination of mine it was really cool to find that there is now a documentary, a full blown one that is really a big deal because it has so many great names in it. The owner of Magic City - Mr. Magic, Drake, Jermaine Dupri, Killer Mike, T.I., Shaqueal O'Neil, etc. So many stars agreed to sit for an interview for this documentary and backed it up so much.
So I'm getting to see stars talk about the experience of great strip club, and watching how it all started and developed into what it is today, very inspiring story! I'm getting to hear it from the horse's mouth too.
They are also telling very interesting stories that are tied to the club. Like O'Neill talked about how he signed a $120 million deal while in Magic City (he got the call and had to leave). Another Hall of Fame Basketballer Dominique Wilkins spoke about how when their opponents come down to Atlanta to play against them they'll take their opponents to Magic City the night before and have the girls wear them out, and the next morning they'll be too weak to play properly and his team would win more easily.
Fun stories like these!
They also interview some of the strippers who tell a lot of stories too and talk about the real life stories of strippers you don't think about when you think about strippers, like their dreams, aspirations, fears, dangers, etc.
And the most interesting part that I feel guilty for keeping till now, hot bodies and strippers performing! You probably knew that was the main attraction, there you have it now. All over the documentary are hot bodies and clips performances from the club and elsewhere. Really makes the documentary a great watch for people who love to see stuff like that ๐.
It's actually a brand new series, an episode drops every week and so far there are only 4 episodes. I saw a source that said it is 16 episodes that are planned, I hope it keeps being interesting. And I hope they turn up the stripper performances too, if you catch my drift ๐๐๐.
