Warm-up is too important and is something that doesn't get stressed enough. I think there should be signs all over the gym reminding people to warm-up, or maybe a guy there whose job it is to just go around reminding everyone who just comes in to warm-up.
It's so important because not warming up leads to injuries. It's normal for many people to just get in the gym and start lifting weights without warming up first, this sudden pressure on the joints can be damaging.
For upper body workouts you have to warm your shoulders and elbows up and this is how I do it. Weightless movements like these and then I'd go do the workouts with less weights first before climbing up in weights.
