Oslo Opera House, Norway.

We have seen the Oslo Opera house on many you tube clips. It was even more impressive in real life. The Italian white marble from Carrara was so bright on a very sunny day. It sort of rose like an ice burg out of the bay. They reckon it gets covered in ice and snow in winter, it would be fun to ski or slide down. It reminds me a bit of the Sydney Opera House back home. The shape is completely different but in a prominent position right on the water makes it very similar. I like the look of the Sydney Opera house better, maybe I am a little bias but I loved the fact that you could easily walk to the top of this one in Oslo and get a great view all over the city. We did not go inside but I could have easily enjoyed walking to the viewing points on it's roof line every day we were there. It was a pretty busy place with international tourists from many different countries photographing the sculptures on the mirrored glass walls.

I would not want to get too close to that water edges as it looks green and slippery

A great looking day but still a bit cold for us to get in the water.

The sculptures must have be stuck or glued onto the windows, I could not really get close enough to tell, as the area was roped off with a security guard.

Nice to see a bit of wildlife enjoying the surrounds as well.
