First Time Feelings: Excitement, Fear, and Everything Between

I’ve had quite a busy day today but let me make your day a lot more better. As they say, there’s a first time for everything and for everything we do for the first time, we hope it turn out well.  Like everyone else, I’ve had so many first times. But the one I remember and always feel shy to tell people because of how hilarious it was is what I’m going to bless you with. I grew up as the book kid. My head was always buried in book and due to this, l had little to no time for house chores or socialising. I started growing and my mom would always ask me to help around the house. Once she brings it up, I’d find an excuse. I didn’t know all these sessions were free cooking sessions up until one day when my parents had to travel. My sisters and I were left in the care of our elder brother who didn’t really care much for us. He was more concerned with playing video games with us and that’s what we did. Until we got hungry. My brother was going to cook rice for us all to eat but my sister and I said no, because we knew it would be a disaster.  So we came up with a plan- my sister and I were going to prepare spaghetti jollof for us all to eat. We made it look as though we could cook, as young as we were then. And funny enough, our brother fell for it. It’s safe to say we didn’t know what we were doing, but we still had hope. As they say, once there’s life, there is hope and we had that hope. We were well on our way to getting this new ready, but we encountered a problem. The spaghetti wasn’t spaghetting and so I asked my sister to add some water to it. We kept adding water and adding water until we had spaghetti soup. As funny as it sounds now, we ended up having to throw out the food and going to buy another one outside.  When my mom got bad, we had the laugh of our life and I vowed never to slack like this ever in my life again. From then on, I was always in the kitchen even before it was time to cook. I don’t mean to brag but I’m now a very good cook. Infact, I pass to become a chef if possible. I hope you keep the story a secret, just between us two.
