Time Travel and the Price of Perfect Choices

Time and tide they say waits for no man and at our age we know how important time is to us all. Time lost cannot be regained and that’s why we are always advised to make good use of the time we have because once it’s gone, there’s no going back.  One thing about this life that we live is the fact that no one is perfect and this means that we are all bound to make mistakes at one point in our lives no matter what. And what do we do after making such mistakes? That’s really up to us. We can choose to wallow in our misery or learn from our mistakes to do better for ourselves.Growing up, I was taught that the choices that we make sometimes follow us for the rest of our lives, whether good or bad and that’s why we must all take time to think things through in order to make good choice for ourselves and our lives in general. I bet we’ve all read books or seen movies about time travel and we all at some point have wished or still wish it was possible to travel through time to make so many changes to some mistakes and choices we made along the line. I wished I could time travel some years ago because I wanted to be like those superheroes in the movies. I didn’t really know what I wanted to travel in time to do, I just wanted to do it. Now that I am older and more mature, I don’t wish to travel time anymore because first of all, what would be the essence of life if I could just travel back in time to right my wrongs.  God himself who created us made it impossible for us to get back the time we have lost or even go back in time to make some changes because he wanted us to understand and cherish the time we have, the experiences we have and also be very certain of the choices we make. This way, we are able to appreciate and value life in general. I don’t see people putting value to their life or anything they have if they just got a pass at everything by going back in time to do the right thing or take advantage of this and that opportunity. Life is a learning opportunity and you either learn to grow or you perish. Time travel being possible in our world today is a big no for me because looking at what we are doing and where the world is headed, things would probably be even worse for the word since we don’t know why someone may want to travel back in time. The same way someone would what to time travel for something good, another person would want to do that for something bad. Generally, it wouldn’t even be ethical for us to be able to do that because it would even affect the paradox and there would also be no growth because we would just get things easily without having to work for it. If we make the wrong choice, we can just go back and change it so why bother working hard for it again.  The concept of time travel is both good and bad for our world today. The topic is actually subjective but in my point of view, time travel shouldn’t be possible for any of us for our own good. - - - all images belong to me. - - -
