Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

  • The more that you play. The more that you earn.

  • The more that you earn. The more SPS you have staked.

  • The more SPS you have staked. The better the rewards.

  • The better the rewards The better your collection gets.

  • The better your collection gets. The more you will win.

  • The more you will win. The more that you will earn.

All of which feeds back into the splinterlands economy if players are committed to the game rather than just pulling out the rewards.

The two biggest indicators of the games success to a wider audience is the price of SPS and the price of cards. The wider world doesn't care about the gameplay and the quality of dev work when they see posts on social media.

That doesn't get attention. They want to see players pulling big cards and earning big SPS wins. For better or for worse, that's the biggest pull in web3 gaming right now.

It's how we got so much attention the last bull market and it's how we get attention the next time as well.

I guarantee that if the price of SPS was $1 and people were earning 5 SPS for a win then outsiders would be buying up collections and getting involved.

It's the nature of crypto and the nature of the people who jump into these games and tokens. The mindset is instant profits and pumping assets. A lot of them don't care about the projects at all unlike the exisiting community that has stuck with the game through thick and thin.

It's a very important reason why there still is a game after seven years and that some of the original players are still here holding collections. We could have sold in the last bull run. We could have sold when the team was in trouble. We could have sold 100 times for any number of reasons but we didn't.

Splinterlands has a community behind it and that is a big part of why players keep feeding money back into the economy and keeping the game running.

The trick will be to bring more players into that community and soak up the assets already built and that are lying around holding down the prices. Unfortunately the current player base can only put so much money back into the system when the team keep releasing new assets. The rewards are good but we have never gotten a chance to push up older cards since chaos legion and the flood of assets that came into the game at the exact same time.

Supply far outweighs demand at the moment but if we keep soaking up the older cards with our rewards and the team can inject a new userbase with new funds into what we already have then you might see the economy take off again in a major way.

There is plenty of money in web3 gaming and when we caught a wave of it last time the team was not ready and not able to meet that demand. By the time they were ready, demand had dropped and then supply overpowered all of the gains that we had made. I would hope they have learned a valuable lesson in there somewhere and we can get back to that point again.

I've seen some sps millionaires on twitter this week and would love to work my way up there as well so it's a matter of splitting my rewards between staking and buying more cards for the collection. I've done quite well this week and added a few more to my deck which should hopefully lead to more rewards and even more cards.

I picked up all of the zero mana cards from chaos maxed out which will be very useful,

A couple of rebellion cards and then some frontier ones as well. I haven't played any of frontier mode before this but i saw that there were reward cards and a lot of others playing it as well so I'll give it a go and try to earn a few more bits for my collection.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

While other web3 games are failing on all sides, Splinterlands has been here for seven years and going strong.
