Here in the UK after a very long dry spell, this week we’ve finally had rain and quite a lot of it. The hedgerows have been parched for so long, that yesterday I noticed how they were recovering, looking partly dead but with the signs of recovering quite quickly with persistent rain.
I went to a really good science show last night and caught up with an old friend of mine. It was called “The Average Scientist - Wonders of our Universe” which was presented by two fellows of the royal astronomical society, physicists. They used a combination of visuals, great music and story telling to break down some very complex theory. It was very well put together and I came away understanding a lot more. The section on relativity, Einstein theory was very good in particular. Black holes and wormholes make a lot more sense!
Look up Spaghettification folks!
