We’ve been wanting to take a walk up on the Ridgeway for ages and to find the ancient site of Wayland’s Smithy, the Neolithic long barrow high up in the hills close to Uffington castle a significant Iron Age fort on the borders of Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. It’s a very special place and one believed to have been the place where the Saxon God, Wayland lived.
