Hello everyone, this is @nilerwrites. This is my second blog here on Hive after I posted my Intro Blog the other night. I have a lot of things on my mind about what to write next. Would it be about a particular place I’ve been, a food that I enjoyed, or simply pouring out the things I wanted to share at this very moment?
My intro blog inspires me a lot. It was there that I shared my life experiences and how I thrive in this world of hardships and frustrations. When I earned from it, I felt very happy, actually, until this moment, I could still not believe that I made it and earned from it. I never thought of having a platform like this even before. I thought most of these sorts of things are not sustainable, and a good thing I found this blogsite – a place not only to enjoy writing, reading, and connecting but also earning.
When Sir @vinzie1 invited me for a short introduction and training about Hive, I felt reluctant. I had doubts not only about how the platform works but also about my capacity for writing. I know I am not good at it. I never had a formal training or experience in blog writing. I don’t even post captions on Facebook for the fear that my grammar might become a laughing stock to my audience. But then, I accepted the invitation and tried to listen.
At exactly 1 in the afternoon last Sunday, August 17, 2025, I arrived at the venue. There were only a few people in that very cozy place. It was an overview restaurant and a sort of resort that made the place very relaxing, and the food was great as expected. The trees and greenery below gave a refreshing feeling, added with the fresh misty wind that see through and through the open space where we sat.
There were 6 participants like me at the table. They all looked excited and eager about the things that they would learn that day; I could see it in their eyes. Sir Vince opened his laptop, presented a Canva presentation, and started talking about the platform. He talked clearly with a modulated voice that we could all hear clearly, too, and the slides were big enough for us to see the screen. @ocdb was presented in that discussion, the rules to be followed, and all the things that are vital for us who want to aspire to become writers of original quality content and articles.
Everything discussed was interesting and very promising. I could feel my heart leaping for excitement, and I even wanted to write my intro blog when I got home. I love how Hive gives value to original content, the welfare of its writers through justifiable percentages of income sharing, and a lot more. Another door of opportunity was opened right before my eyes, and I needed to go through that door and grab my chances.
When I arrived home, I found myself typing on my laptop and started to introduce myself. I never realized I dug deeply enough that after an hour, I finished my intro blog and was very excited to start my journey in Hive.
I am truly grateful to the people behind this platform and to the people who helped me during the onboarding process @wittyzell. And above all, I am forever grateful to our Almighty for this another opportunity He led me to. I always believe that God provides, and He will open more and more doors for us as long as we keep ourselves in motion in doing good things for ourselves and others.
